Are you ready? If you are I wish I could personally give you a high five. If you aren’t, I so know how you feel! I’m here today with 10 Christmas Vignette Ideas. Last minute ways to tweak your decorations or give you inspiration to make them look just a little different. It’s the weekend before Christmas. I am quite certain you all have a million things to do and a list a mile long. I am grateful and touched that you took the time to stop by. I hope you take away something to make your home cozy and ready for Christmas day.
One of the easiest things to do (and basically free) is to bring greens in. If you don’t have any bushes or trees to clip from, maybe ask a neighbor. I bought 2 bags of cranberries, poured them in mason jars and added greens from my back yard. This is just one…but I have them scattered around my house. Use any kind of container…even a clear jar. The cranberries and greens do the job of making it festive.
A nativity is such a special touch. Mine is more than 25 years old but every year when I get it out, it brings back memories of when my kids were home and they helped set it up. Whatever your religious beliefs, touches of years gone by and the “reason for the season” are always a good thing.
Take a look at this coffee table vignette I did for Fall.
Here is how I changed just a few things and made it ready for Christmas. I took out the cotton bolls and added red balls. The little gold straw flowers were replaced with more red balls and some greenery. In just a few minutes you can transition from one season to another. Take away thought: use what you have.
Use things you love. My inherited silver is always worked into my decor somehow. No matter what it is, adding a few Christmas trees or tiny wreaths can make your decor look festive. A small bowl of pine cones or little ornaments is sometimes all you need.
Usually what happens around here is this: I get my Christmas decorations out and look at what I have. Mostly because I can’t remember from year to year! I spread it around my rooms and then stand back for a few days. Usually with some tweaking I can make it all work. If you have an empty table top or bare corner, fill it up with things you love and some Christmas cheer.
Happy Friday. I hope your weekend is filled with wonderful, Christmasy things.
