ver since I discovered the world of Home and Garden blogs, I have admired all the stunning tablescapes. I have wanted to post one for a long time…I never really had the opportunity though. Since I have some time off now for summer, I thought I would play around and see what I could come up with. Here you go…
I have to admit that while I was gathering everything
I was tempted to make a run to TJMaxx or Kohls.
But I stayed home…everything in the tablescape I already had.
My every day flatware.
Napkins are actually towels from IKEA.
I got the place mats last year. From Kohls maybe?
Gold plates are from Pier 1.
My every day Liberty Blue transferware.
Quimper knock-off salad plates.
Dessert cups were my mother-in-law’s.
Little cake plate is I. Godinger from TJMaxx.
Glasses are from Pier 1.
I’ve had the little candle lamps for years.
They came from a little gift shop in our downtown.
Flowers are from my pots!
Jelly jars are Waterford…both were wedding gifts.
The pitcher was a gift from my sister-in-law.
So what do you think?
Did I do OK for a rookie?
Personally I think I need more stuff.
Maybe I should go shopping…
I used these lovely blogs for inspiration…thank you so much.

Ann! I love the happy colors you used on your gorgeous tablescape! Everything is just beautiful and wonderfully pulled together.
Ann, you did a fabulous job on your first scape. I love it! I hope to see more of your tables.
I love how you used what you have. That is something I like to stress; shopping the house and cupboards for this and that for the table.
Thanks so much for the mention. It is very much appreciated.
Oh my goodness if this is your first tablescape I cannot imagine how much more fabulous they can be! This is just gorgeous! I LOVE your blue and white and I love the colors you have used with it. Gorgeous table and such a beautiful setting!!
I think you are onto something Ann. What beautiful colors you choose. Love the dishes too!
I love the blue and white with pops of yellow and green, Ann! Your cushions look very comfy and I think it's such a smart idea to use dishtowels as napkins. Summer foods tend to be messy- or maybe that's just me! I think you have achieved professional results- A+ :)
Absolutely fantastic, first times the charm, you did awesome,I really love the colors.

I agree – those colour are great together and I love the little lemons as part of the decor. So summery. It amazes me how you are able to pull all of your existing things together to accomplish such a gorgeous table.

Love the traditional blue with the yellow and green and it looks great outdoors!
And you play well Ann! Looks very inviting!

Congratulations on your first tablescape. Adore blue and white and you did it well . . . and those little waterford jars for flowers — HAD NOT thought of that! Beautiful!
You did great on your first table. I love how the green place mats and the gold plates tie together the colors in the salad plates. I also love the upolstery on your chairs, dots and stripe, so cute. How wonderful to be able to do this great table with everything you had on-hand, but of course you have to got shopping, we always have to go shopping!
This is lovely, Ann! Very colorful and inviting… Iove the combo of colors. And the mismatched fabrics on your furniture are really adorable! Love that! Hope you sat down and had a nice meal there… that's the best part :)

Beautiful table and I am really liking those knock off Quimper. For some reason I am being drawn more and more to blue and white dinnerware. I'm feeling a new collection coming on. Your table is just gorgeous and love the fact that you are able to do it outdoors.

I think you did great. It's always fun to shop, but more satisfying if you can pull it off using what you have. And your transferware and plates are gorgeous together! Your use of color and the detail are beautiful. Loved my visit!! Keep 'em coming!!
Beautiful! I want to come eat on your deck!! Looks so peaceful. Maybe it's b/c all your kids are grown:)

Amanda
You did great and I love love the strpes and polka dots, Kathysue
coming over from Kim's to say you have a beautiful home and great style!
I have to say…Bravo! You have such a great eye for color and pattern combinations! Not only is your home beautiful, it looks so inviting. I could see me curled up with a glass of sweet tea having a conversation. Sometimes houses look so "put together" that you feel like you need to go dress up to in. Thanks for sharing your cozy home!
Your blue dishes are SO PRETTY! It looks beautiful…all of it!
You did an awesome job Ann! I love that last shot! Martina
Your table was wonderful and I think it is even better when you create such a lovely table with things you already have.
I think this looks great. You could add some simple stuff like a background element down the middle of the table or criss crossing the table – ideas – hosta leaves laid on the table or in a circular pattern under the candlesticks, some additional yellow (maybe fabric, napkins, tablerunner), a couple of hanging latern lights or Mason jar type lights from the patio umbrella.
"It is a far better thing that you have done than I could ever do."
My tablescapes consist of take-out bags on the coffee table.
You think I jest????
Hi Ann…
My friend, I remember this gorgeous tablescape so well! I just love the bright and cheery colors…love the blue and green color combo with that splash of lemon yellow thrown into the mix! Oooh…and I love your blue transferware! The Quimper knock off salad plates are gorgeous and make a beautiful addition to the place setting! Ohhh…and what a lovely view! Love your deck and back yard, my friend! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful tablescape with us for the Sunday Favorites party this week! Such a treat!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
