It all started with the cabinet hinges.
This is what they used to look like.
This is what they look like now.
Clean and in proper working order.
After the hinges came the lights.
This lantern was just what I wanted and after looking all over
I found it right here in my own home town.
Love my knobs.
Then came the drawer handles.
My old chrome faucet had to go with the nasty hinges.
By this time I was on a roll.
I decided to make it a priority to replace
as many of my dated brass fixtures as I could.
I am getting there…little by little.
This is my latest project.
The switchplates in my entry.
They are going from this (be careful it’s sort of blinding)…
I’m working on the door hinges too.
Every so often I just happen to drop by Lowe’s
and some hinges or door knobs jump in my cart.
Thanks to the girls At The Picket Fence
this is my next project.
Normally I would replace something this big…
but it was a gift from my parents and I just can’t part with it.
I have a feeling this will go to the end of my to-do list
a time or two before I get the energy to tackle it.
I always thought I would have to take it down and spray it.
Heather showed me otherwise.
Thank you, Heather!
