Home for the Holidays ~ 2011

“At Christmas, all roads lead home.”
~Marjorie Holmes

Seems in recent years,
since my children have grown and left the nest,
preparing for Christmas is about
making my home festive and welcoming.
Oh sure…there is still shopping, wrapping, cooking.
But my preparations are made
with one thing in mind.
That soon my children will be home
and my family will be together.
Those preparations begin with our front door.
Hanging the wreath.
White lights and cranberries on the grapevine trees.
The first step to decking the halls On Sutton Place.
Here’s a bit of what is yet to come.

Hope the rest of your weekend is wonderful…
