I love her photos...it's obvious she puts time and thought into
how she presents her wares.
Moving on to the stockings.
Here's the story behind the story...
Before Thanksgiving I did some custom sewing for Jody
with grain sacks she already had.
One sack had embroidered initials that happened to be
the same as her children's.
We worked together
to figure out the best way to use the sack.
In the end she decided to center the initials which
meant there was going to be some waste to the grain sack.
She had seen miniature (or petite) grain sack stockings
in blogland and asked if I could make some with the
left-over grain sack.
Jody has found all sorts of ways to use and display them in her home.
She graciously shared the 6 pictures above.
As luck would have it I had a red striped grain sack
not spoken for so I made some miniature stockings for myself
and some to sell in my Etsy Shop.
I'm listing them in sets of 4.
The stripes vary so the sets will be slightly different.
I also made some sets out of vintage pillow cases.
These are cuffed with the lace from the edge of the cases.
A different look from the grain sack ones
but I love them just as much.
I am going to try and get my husband to climb up
in our attic to get my bins of Christmas decorations.
Hopefully all will go according to plan
and by the end of the weekend
I'll have decked my halls and spread some Christmas cheer.
Have a great weekend!

What cute stockings the two of you have. I love the stripes on them. She has pretty things and you are right, she shows them nicely, but so do you. Looking forward to seeing your home decorated for Christmas. Have a wonderful weekend, Ann. ------ Shannon

I just love those cute little stockings! I like the grainsack ones the best. That was a good idea to use the scraps that way. Who could ever throw away the extra fabric?!
Cute stockings. I was just looking at some at Dreamy Whites, too.
