Life throws a lot of curve balls.
Anything could happen...right?
One thing I do know is this...

Hello...I'm Ann. I'm a wife, mother, devoted daughter and I've been a DIY girl all my life. I believe that good design is collecting things you love and making them work for you. Mixing styles is not only interesting, it's fun.
I learned to sew at an early age and
opened my Etsy shop, Sutton Place Designs, in August of 2011. I offer handmade textile
furnishings for your home from mostly vintage fabrics.
This blog features my mix-it-up take on decorating, gardening, tried-and-true recipes and new collections in my Etsy shop. I'm honored
to share my ideas and inspirations with people like me.
I hope you find something you like...and I hope after your first visit you come back.
Welcome to my home...On Sutton Place.

Ann,
This is a marvelous resolution! I think you should definitely do it because you are so talented. I predict your products will sell, sell, sell! And you'll be doing something that you obviously enjoy! Happy New Year!
Yes Keep the Faith!!! You are a very talented lady, no reason why your dreams can't come true!!! I will be praying for you!! Happy New Year!!
I loved this post because it is very similar to my own creative and financial dreams (although they just don't seem achievable right now.) Wishing you much success and happiness as you strive for your goals, and in 2012. Happy New Year.
Wishing you continued success in 2012! I can totally relate to your dream.
Ann, i hope your dream comes true for you. When we stop dreaming of what if's we stop living.
I feel your resolve and know you can do it.
I fulfilled that dream about 28 yrs ago, when my youngest began kindergarten. I began designing and sewing clothing for 12 children. The business evolved into selling supplies for smocked, heirloom clothing and other techniques of sewing for children. My business lasted for 16 yrs when most of my customers were cutting back on the imported laces and fabrics. I made so many new friends and learned so much about running a business. It was truly a wonderful experience.
I know that you will do well and prosper.

Keep the faith, Ann. I know you can do this. Go ahead and make your dreams come true. I have faith in you.
You've said it out loud - good for you! It's a great goal to work toward and you are well on your way.
Wonderful Post Ann! Keep the Faith...I always dreamed of having my own little business. As I get older I wonder if that will ever happen. As for you...I know you will have continued success at what you do. Best wishes for a Blessed new year in 2012 to you.
Go for it, Ann!
I stayed home and raised my children, and then at an age when most women were winding down, I started my own business - I do what I love, on my own terms. You can do it!
Go for it Ann. George Eliot said "It's never to late to be who you might have been".
Good Luck and much success to you in 2012.

Good Luck to you, Ann! I know how scary it is to take that first big step....what if you fail...or...what if you succeed? Sometimes the fear of success scares us, too. I am keeping the faith that YOU CAN DO THIS...and we will all be here to bolster you along the way- Happy New Year- Happy Dreams! xo Diana
I can't wait to see how you prosper in 2012 because I have absolute faith that you will. :) I'm seriously getting all tingly for all my bloggy friends,....and I definitely consider you in that small group,....we are all going to absolutely rock 2012. Let's get started.
If anyone can do it-you can :-)
I wish you the most success possible with your future business. I know that takes courage to say it outloud like that because that probably makes you feel committed now. I'm sure that if this is what you want, you will make it work and if it is meant to be, it will be successful. I'm looking forward to following you on this journey too.
You are very talented and I know you can do it!
You can do it, Ann!!! Go for it. I believe in you!

Hi Ann. I just found your blog tonight and really like your style. I'm a big Sarah Richardson fan, too! Tonight I am on the web looking for some inspiration - having peeled 45 year old wallpaper off my kitchen walls this evening.
Best wishes to you in 2012! (I'm an Ohioan as well!)
Elizabeth
