Hello...I'm Ann. I'm a wife, mother, devoted daughter and I've been a DIY girl all my life. I believe that good design is collecting things you love and making them work for you. Mixing styles is not only interesting, it's fun.
I learned to sew at an early age and
opened my Etsy shop, Sutton Place Designs, in August of 2011. I offer handmade textile
furnishings for your home from mostly vintage fabrics.
This blog features my mix-it-up take on decorating, gardening, tried-and-true recipes and new collections in my Etsy shop. I'm honored
to share my ideas and inspirations with people like me.
I hope you find something you like...and I hope after your first visit you come back.
Welcome to my home...On Sutton Place.

These ideas are wonderful! I already bought some cute things for that special day....Since I live near Bluffton (SC) I visited a cute gift shop and found some vintage spoons monogrammed with cute sayings: "I love you a latte!" They were adorable!
Thanks for sharing!
As a tradition, I usually make rolled out cookies and use my heart cookie cutter and sprinkle with pink and red sugar.
Great inspiration! I especially like the red Pottery Barn bowls. I may have to check those out. Thanks for sharing.
All of these things are so precious...lots of ideas here! We used to celebrate Valentines Day a bit more when the kids were younger, now it is just cards and chocolates, although I will bake some sugar cookies!
XO,
Jane

Hi Ann! What a great post to get us in the Valentine mood. I think I'll start adding some Valentine touches to my decor. It's only a month away! Have a great week. Pamela
They are all great gift ideas, including the man in the pink shirt! lol
I'm surprised to see the Kitchen Aid mixer with a glass bowl. I love it. I need to see if I can j buy just the glass bowl for my mixer. I also love that bracelet from the Vintage Pearl.
Thanks, Ann, for the ideas!
I would like the heart shaped cake tins and the jewelry with the childrens names. I have an Emily and an Elijah!
I don't think my DH would go for the pink shirt though!
I absolutely love Valentines day!! Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful ideas!!!

Literally, my favourite holiday :-). That hat would be amazing for small one.
They're all pretty, except the handsome guy, but even his pink shirt is pretty. I love the heart shaped wreath.----------Shannon
I love this post, Ann. I am actually looking for some heart-shaped plates right now! I saw the cute little heart-shaped pies on the Williams-Sonoma website yesterday, and I would love to make them! They are too, too cute.
Lots of inspiration here!!!
