Hello...I'm Ann. I'm a wife, mother, devoted daughter and I've been a DIY girl all my life. I believe that good design is collecting things you love and making them work for you. Mixing styles is not only interesting, it's fun.
I learned to sew at an early age and
opened my Etsy shop, Sutton Place Designs, in August of 2011. I offer handmade textile
furnishings for your home from mostly vintage fabrics.
This blog features my mix-it-up take on decorating, gardening, tried-and-true recipes and new collections in my Etsy shop. I'm honored
to share my ideas and inspirations with people like me.
I hope you find something you like...and I hope after your first visit you come back.
Welcome to my home...On Sutton Place.

Oh my...I love Downton Abbey too! We missed recording the first episode and now I have to wait for my SIL to catch up on last season so she can tell us what happened in the first episode THIS season! We refuse to watch until we know what happened...LOL
I love this list idea....how long is it going on?

Hi Ann! I just did this too, it was fun. I'm with you on keeping up with a blog - - some days it's so rewarding, others it's kinda hard. Your blog is lovely. Have a good day! P.S. Good luck in the Lottery Pool. :)
What a fun post, Ann! Quite a few of the things you wrote, could have been 25 things about me.
1. I also have a obsession with Downton Abby
2. I will not plan, do or go any where on Sunday night afraid I will miss it.
3. I too, do not know what to make for dinner
4. I want a snow day, with out snow for the rest of my life.
5.I would not have made it in a covered wagon, especially the bathroom part
6.I never remember to buy lottery tickets and am sad when I don't win
well, you get the picture. Richard from My Old Historic House.
What a fun post Ann! I can relate to a lot of the things you wrote!!
I also would like to be snowed in for a few days, but only if I have power! I kinda emjoy the lazy snow days with my family!
That was fun....to read all those things about you. Hopefully, some of the things on that list, that are giving you problems, will get worked out soon.
Thoroughly enjoyed! Learned some perfectly neat things about you.

I know what you mean about Google +. Not only do I not get it, but I'm mad at them for ruining the GFC thing. :) Great post.
This was so funny! I know how you feel about leaving the pup. I haven't been to a funeral in over ten years myself.

I love your 25 things. I hate to leave Bailey for the day too; those eyes and that face, makes me feel so guilty!
Take care,
Jodi
This is a fun post...I liked learning more about you! I have missed Downton Abbey and am regretting it. Hope I can pick up on it. And I, too, would like some snow days!
XO,
Jane
And you did a great job. I liked your list, and even nodded in agreement on a few of them, however, my foggy brain can't remember which ones now. Oh, definitely the Google Plus one. I feel the same way.
Downton Abbey, missing my kids, hanging on to those Christmas pounds - we have a lot in common!
Found you on the 25 Things Link Party! I'm a new follower! Would love for you to follow me at http://www.eccentricleopard.com
Oh, I loved this post, Ann! And, I miss my daughter and grandsons, so I can totally relate to numbers 3 and 16! LOL! blessings ~ Tanna
Fun! I enjoyed reading these tidbits. Relate to many of them myself! Happy Birthday to your dad!
I am crazy for downtown abbey. So happy I'm not alone. I wish it would never end.
An additional note. Go to PBS.org and play all this seasons episodes on your computer if it plays videos well. I've been watching it on my ipad2, one of the greatest inventions ever. Also, check out Hulu.com for thousands of free tv shows, movies, etc? I've almost stopped watching television. I certainly don't miss the long commercials!
I love these posts :0) Free form writing at its best.
There's nothing wrong with a bit of Downton Abbey obsession.
I enjoyed reading about you!
I love this Ann! I have a lot of the same opportunities! Have a great day!

Love it Ann! You were on a roll. I need a pedi too, real bad! Always fun to read a few more tid bits from our blogging friends. Have a great weekend.
So interesting. I haven't lost the 5 lbs I gained over Christmas either - what's up with that. I think I'll give up chocolate for lent to help the situation out. sigh.
I avoid funerals and miss my kids, too. It was fun learning more about you.
Hugs, Cindy
Ann, are you sure we aren't related? :) I'm counting the hours until tonight's Downton Abbey episode. Great list. I don't think I could think of 25 things.
