Life On Sutton Place is a bit out of sorts.
My father-in-law passed away yesterday afternoon.
He was surrounded by his family and went peacefully.
He was finally ready and at the age of 94 had led a full life.
Some people might say his passing was a blessing…
and maybe it was.
But we will still miss him…we will still be sorry he is gone.
My kids are sad and that in itself breaks my heart.
I know life goes on when a loved one is lost.
It’s hard though and it takes time to adjust.
I have to be gone from my blog for a while.
I’m not sure when I’ll be back.
Hopefully when things are sorted out I will be ready to write again.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My mother-in-law passed away a couple of weeks ago. It is hard, no matter their age.

I'm so sorry. There's just never an easy time to lose a loved one. My father in law passed away several years ago and we miss him so terribly. Just take all the time you need sweet girl. Some things in life are more important. We'll be here when you feel up to it.

Ann, so sorry for your loss. You are right life goes on, but you sure wonder how it does. I just lost my 92 year old grampa. I think of all the changes they have seen in there long life. Ann, I'm sorry to hear that you family is going through this loss. Sounds like your father in law was a dear man. We went through losing my FIL a few years ago and last summer my MIL. We are selling their house and the closing is next month. It is emotional for us, and certainly the house sale will mark the end of an era. I hope your family finds peace in this situation.

It is always hard to imagine that hollow space that you feel within when a loved one passes. Over time it will simply fill in with memories but for now you need to live the moment with those closest to you. Thinking of you Ann.
