Thought I would check in to say hi and to share a few pics of my new office. My last day of work is tomorrow so I figured I had better get busy and organize myself at home. I tried to keep it simple.
Here is the view from my office window…
I think the assistant I’ve hired is going to work out great. She never hesitates to tell me what she thinks and doesn’t mind the long hours.
She has a bad habit of napping on the job though so we’re going to have to work on that one.
Seriously…I will actually be able to “work” from my back yard if I want to. I can’t really wrap my mind around that one yet.
I’ve given you some sneak peaks of how it looks around here. I will start telling you more about everything soon. Still haven’t hung that gallery wall in my entry or put the finishing touches on my back porch. I’ve got a fun July 4th front door basket and who knows…maybe some new cushion and pillow covers too.
Summer is here. Enjoy the long days. Take a break from the fast pace of your life and drink a long, tall glass of lemonade (spiked or not..that’s up to you!) out in your back yard. Or your front porch. Or wherever.

Love your helper! if I ever get another dog it will be a miniature schnauzer…they are just great! Ours is long gone and I still remember him fondly! Ours just never got the knack of alphabetical filing however……..

Ann, I just adore your yellow umbrella! I painted 2 yellow lanterns today that would have looked great on your deck. Now they are white! I think you’ll get so much accomplished in your new office. How could you not with your extraordinary assistant!

Your back yard makes for a heavenly office. I could spend lots of time out there. And it does take some getting used to once you resign. It took me much of this school year to get used to being home. You’re going to love it!
