Welcome to our Gold Medal Blogging Tips Linky Party!
When I first began my blog, not even two years ago, blogging was so much simpler. Basically all you had to do was publish a post and then spend a little time commenting on other blogs. These days there is a whole laundry list of chores to take care of once you’ve hit that publish button.
So I made a little checklist…who doesn’t love a list?
These are things I do immediately after publishing a post. I have found that if I wait and think I’ll “do it later” many times it doesn’t get done. So now I just get them all out of the way…right away.
On to the reason we’re here!
Jane from Cottage at the Crossroads and I are excited to co-host this party. It will be a great resource for bloggers, or anyone who is thinking about starting a blog. Pin what interests you or what you want to read later.
Keep in mind:
1. Please link back to your host blog. A text link is fine or you can grab the button at the top of my sidebar and link it to this post.
2. Link up as many posts as you want but make sure they are up-to-date.
3. Visit a link or two and spread the comment luv.
4. This party is a hop. The links will be on both of our blogs… but you only have to link up once.
Reminder:
There is a giveaway that goes along with this party! When the linky closes we will randomly pick two winners from all the links. One will win this fantastic pitcher from Jane and the other winner will receive this grain sack tote bag by Sutton Place Designs.

Ready…set…link!

Hi Ann, and Jane! Thanks for this fun idea of a linky party. I hope it is OK that I linked an older post. It was one of my personal favs, because It came from my heart and the top of my head. Blogging sure has changed since two years ago. It really is a lot harder to get noticed and make new friends. However, it can be done, and it certainly can still be successful.
Thanks Ann and Jane for hosting. Not sure I have anything to add, still feel like a newbie.
What is #4 update linky followers???? I have never done that.
How do you update linky followers. I don’t believe I’ve been doing this.
Thanks for hosting this party! I’m sort of a newbie but wrote a post about my tips a few weeks ago coincidentally! So nice to have found you via Debbie Doo’s FB link. :)
hi, just thinking about starting a blog- I dont even know what a linky is! i will try to google it so i can play too!
Thanks Ann, just visiting and reading on your blog is a teaching experience. It is beautiful and well designed.

I love that you girls are doing this. There is so much to learn in blogging, whether you are an old, seasoned pro or a newbie.
Congrats on the first link up! Thank you for stopping by and the follow, and I am following you back! xo
Ann, you have certainly passed me by in the blogging world. I only understand 1, 9, and 10.
Ann, This is such a great link party. I have read so many great tips already … my head is swimming. I have so much to learn still. I think I will come back to these posts time and time again. Thanks to you and your friend for hosting.
Fondly,
Glenda
I feel lost. I’ve never pinned, I don’t know how to tweet, I have a lousy camera and a slow computer and a very humble(that’s putting it nicely) home. I work so ard putting together my posts and sometimes get zero or only a couple comments, then I realiize it’s time to put up a fresh post because a week has gone by already, and I don’t know what in the world I m going to talk about. So, I am happy to find your blog with so much information and help!
Now I have to write a post and get ready for this party. Thank you for hosting, this is a fun party.
Also, I am now following you.
This blog is so much helpful blog.
Thanks so much for the tips. And for hosting this party so I am able to learn from all of you!
Thank you, thank you!
Meegan
Thanks Ann and Jane for hosting this event. I wasn’t able to get a post together, but I know I will enjoy reading all the helpful ideas!
Hi gals! Shared three of my blogging tutorials, plenty more on the site but didn’t want to bombard the party! lol Thanks so much for hosting, what a great resource this will be for bloggers. Have a great day!
Heather
Great party ;-) I think two years ago when we started we just didn’t know all the things we “should” be doing! ha! Reading your list is great – I do about 4 of those 10……I think I’ll have to make more of those checklists my “priorities” :-)
I just put up the How to Make Money Blogging……I’ll be curious as to what people think :-) Have a great day.
I forgot to ask, what exactly is a “tiny” ULR?
URL,,,,,(don’t I look smart – horrible!)
Ann, because i have just returned home from traveling I am unable to link at this time but I do plan to visit around in the party. I do appreciate your tips. hugs, Olive
I don’t have any good posts with bloggy tips but I am enjoying reading these!E

Wait a minute. What?
What is Update Linky Followers and Update Google+? I thought it automatically did that.
I haven’t pinned any of my own pictures except once. I thought that wasn’t a thing to do? Can you help? Blogger for less than a year here.
Katie
Oh and I have no idea what Hometalk is.
Wow! So many questions I’ve had are being answered! Thank you so much for hosting this party! There’s so much I didn’t know about, like PicMonkey! I’ve been blogging for a while, but haven’t blogged for a while (if that makes any sense!) and some things have changed A LOT so I’m really grateful for all the tips! :)
Thanks so much. i entered my Linky Party Etiquette, SEO and how to get featured more.
I will have to make my way through the posts.

Ann , This has been immensely helpful. I have much studying to do. I also did not know about updating linky followers etc. If i pin this post will I have access to all the linky party participants or do I have to pin each entry separately?
