Welcome to my tiny but shiny and new foyer! This post could really be a before and after but I’m concentrating more on the after.
Here is what it looked like just this past Christmas. Red wallpaper, carpet on the stairs and a mural. A golfer mural. Don’t laugh.
Here it is now.
We inherited the chest from my Father-in-law. I have loved it for years and when we were finding homes for his possessions this was the only thing I asked for. Perfect fit huh?
The lamp was a bonus that came with the chest. The bottom is brass that was black when I brought it home. A little elbow grease and it looks great.
I brought in my cloche from the Farmer’s Market. The urn and plate match the creamware of the lamp…and yes I love that it matches!
Of all the projects and do-overs I have attempted though the years, and there’s been quite a few, this entry is my favorite. It turned out so much better than I ever expected.
Although it isn’t grand and large, it’s light and bright.
If you didn’t figure it out already, I’m linking up to Marty’s Summer Cloche Party. Come join the fun if you can!
