If you follow my blog on a regular basis, or even if you stop in occasionally, you will have most likely picked up on the fact that I adore Miss Mustard Seed.
Marian Parsons is not only a talented and savvy entrepreneur, she’s a really nice person who genuinely cares about others. I “met” Marian last fall when my Etsy shop was very new. Her business adventures had just started to multiply and she blogged about out-sourcing things to make her life less busy. So I jumped up and down, got up my nerve, and sent an email asking her to take a look at my pillow covers and table runners.
She told me she was more than willing to take a look at my things and to send her my best stuff. So that’s what I did. I may have gone a bit overboard but I only had one chance to make that “first good impression.” I guess she liked what she saw because we’ve been working together ever since.
Here is the pillow cover she liked well enough to feature in her new book, Inspired You. When my copy arrived last week I couldn’t get that box open fast enough! It’s a lovely book perfect for gift giving. I started turning the pages and there on the Acknowledgements page was my name.
The moment I saw it I almost cried. To be listed in the same sentence with other talented artisans was humbling and thrilling at the same time. Her book includes tutorials, advice and endless inspiration. I’ve been through it twice and plan to spend many happy hours looking through it more closely. You really should order it…it’s available on Kindle too.
You won’t be disappointed. Promise.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope your week is going smooth and steady!

How exciting, Ann! Congrats to you! You & your beautiful work deserve it!
Congratulations on your feature in the book!
Congratulations on the mention in her book! You deserve it. I’ve seen, firsthand, the quality work you do at my sister’s house. She has several of your pillows and towels and they are gorgeous! She is very proud of them and with her endorsement (because I know she is picky) and Marianne’s you should have a booming business. Anyone looking for custom made linens should definitely give you a try! I want to order MMS’s book. It looks like it’s good and very affordable. I plan to order it soon.
Hi Ann, I have to echo what others have said about your name in Miss Mustard Seed’s book – you deserve it! I have her book too and it is absolutely wonderful. Lots of pictures not included in her blog and some great tutorials. The photographs are lovely. You both have great style!

Oh – congratulations Ann! Such a well deserving honor for you. I knew that you were supplying Marion pillows, but never knew the whole story. Seems like I might remember a post from you a good while back about being nervous to send her your things, but I could be totally wrong about that. ;o) Anyway – congratulations again. I’m very happy for you!

Oh Ann! Congratulations on being mentioned and your pillow being featured. MMS is a wonderfully talented lady, there’s no doubt. But, my dear friend, you are also VERY talented. I have sewn off and on since I was 11 and I am no where near are good as you. But, because I sew, I know talent when I see it and YOU have it. This is a well deserving acknowledgement of your talents, and I think more of this type of thing will come your way. Congratulations!!!
