DIY Advent Calendar Giveaway

You all know I’m not much of a crafter. I’ve tried. I just don’t like Mod Podge or glitter.

When I saw this picture in freshstyle magazine my first thought was…maybe I could do this!

I thought about it for a long time.

I put it off.

I thought about it some more.

Then the other day I just decided to go for it.

You know what? It was very fun…and sort of relaxing.

I got to do things I don’t normally do.

They involved fringing burlap…

and printables!

I will totally admit that no glue was used in the project…but you could do it with glue if you don’t sew. I’ll be back tomorrow with a how-to on the sewing method.

I wish I had some little people in my life who could share this Advent calendar with me. Since I don’t, I’m giving it away. Leave me a comment if you’d like a chance to win. This will be quick so I can get it in the mail before December 1st. I’ll pick a winner Friday, November 23rd. If your email address isn’t connected to your comment, please make sure to include it. See you tomorrow!

I love the advent calendar, but more than that I just wanted to leave a note that I am so impressed that you went ahead and did it. I don’t have little ones in my life right now either and so many times I see a fun craft and think “oh, I would have done this when the children were little”.
P.S. please don’t enter me in the giveaway, it needs to go to someone with small children or grandchildren.
    Happy Thanksgiving!

Ann, this is just the cutest thing. I wish I had wee ones at my house, but I don’t, so pass it along to someone who does. Just wanted you to know that I was mod podging, glittering, and spray painting today!

That is adorable! I’d love to win it! So would my littles – who really aren’t so little anymore :)
I did some crafting over the weekend for my event coming up and I found it rather relaxing too. Mine did include German glass glitter and lots of glue though!

Such a clever idea, very well done! I like your version much better than your inspirational one. I found your blog from your facebook page, found your facebook page when “At the Picket Fence” shared your giveaway.
