I wanted to pop in today and give a shout out to a couple of wonderful bloggers who have remembered me this Christmas. The first is the darling Jill at Sew a Fine Seam. I don’t even remember how we met…but our brains work the same so we have a lot in common! Not too long ago I sent her some grain sack scraps that I couldn’t bring myself to throw away. She used them to make camera straps for her Etsy Shop.
She was kind enough to send me one and I adore it. Thank you!
Next is Heather from Setting for Four. She was my Secret Santa this year…and a great Santa she was.
The day this arrived was not a good one. I was tired, stressed and just wanted to go take a nap.
Her hand-made card and tag were perfect. The star of this package was the tea towel she made. Soft and beautiful with a very vintage feel. She topped the whole thing off with a fun Sephora surprise.
Thank you Heather for being the bright spot in my day!
As always, preparations for Christmas On Sutton Place are progressing. Even though every year I have my doubts, somehow it always gets finished. I have a few things to wrap and some cooking…an easy day. Hope your Sunday is wonderful!

How sweet, like the camera straps, how clever.
Merry Christmas!
Merry, Merry Christmas, Ann!
What great gifts and it was nice to see the grain sack scraps put to use. Brilliant ideas those two ladies had.
What wonderful gifts. Have a Merry Christmas Ann!
Hugs,
Penny
Those are such nice gifts you received. I have been enjoying the blog, Sew a Fine Seam, recently too. She is so sweet as well. You girls are mighty talented. The tea towel you received is darling as well. I just love the creative packaging she did. I am in the final days of getting ready for everything as well. I’m off to my inlaws later today to celebrate with them and then setting everything up at my house tomorrow for my family visiting. I’m looking forward to Christmas morning, opening presents and drinking coffee. Taking it easy all day will be nice. Hope you have a great Christmas day too!
What fun presents! Tje camera strap Jill made is gorgeous! Have a Merry Cristmas!
You are truly blessed!
Merry Christmas, my friend!

Ann, I am so glad we connected and became friends! You are so right – we do think alike! I am so head-over-heels in love with grain sacks. I’m glad you love your camera strap – I had so much fun making them out of grain sacks. I still have some of the scraps you sent and I can’t wait to make some more camera straps with them in the new year! Have a very Merry Christmas! Maybe we can meet in real life in 2013 :)
Great gifts…may you have a very Merry Christmas! ;)
I enjoy your blog very much. Especially love seeing how you decorated for Christmas. I forwarded your site to my daughter (she decorates in a very similar style).
Merry Christmas!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas!
Hugs,
Babs

Ann, a Blessed Christmas to you and your family and a kind and prosperous New Year too.
The cookies are baked, Fritz, the Elf on the Shelf, has his last note to the grandkids yet to be found, and a handful of presents need to be wrapped. The family all gathers at my sister’s tonight after the Children’s Mass and then brunch at our house tomorrow making it a beautiful Christmas.
Merry Christmas Ann!
Merry Christmas.
Fondly,
Glenda
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
One good turn deserves another, aren’t bloggers the BEST?!?!? I love my bloggy friends, too! And I’m so glad you are one of them.
Love and hugs, Cindy
Sorry I am responding so late . Catching up with emails since I got home. Wondering if the scraps would be good for dog collars???
