If you haven’t had a chance to visit the FOLK blog, I want to highly recommend it. I first became acquainted with FOLK magazine a few months ago when I took a leap of faith and bought my first print ad. My Etsy shop was struggling at the time and I thought maybe this would help.
Help it did. I have no way of knowing how many people actually came to my shop from FOLK, but as soon as the magazine came out my sales improved. I know it could have been any number of other things, but I am confident that teaming up with FOLK made a difference. I redesigned the ad for the next issue…
I’ve been working with FOLK’s Vice President of Sales, Hillary Lewis. Even though there are dozens of ads in FOLK, she made me feel as though I was the most important advertiser they had. She was helpful and made the process really easy.
The FOLK blog and Hillary have introduced a Journaling Agenda for 2013. I love this idea…so I’m jumping on board. I’m not promising I will do it every week, but I hope to participate as often as possible. Hillary is providing prompts for each week so at least I don’t have to come up with my own topic!
I won’t be posting on a certain day of the week either.
I think by keeping my schedule flexible I will have more success with actually getting the posts published.
I’ll be back in a few days with a letter to myself. You can read Hillary’s letter here.
