Never let it be said that persistence doesn’t pay off. I’ve hit up my antique mall several times over the past few months looking for vintage linens. Most times I left with nothing. Talk about frustrating…and disappointing. I would walk in with such high hopes only to walk out with those hopes dashed.
Well…not this time. My luck has changed! I found this completely amazing white enamelware pitcher…
and a darling little mug.
I totally hit the jackpot and found some vintage linens for my Etsy shop.
I discovered jars of buttons and this lovely old measuring tape.
My daughter gave me this little cloche for Christmas. When I opened it she asked, “Isn’t that like the bird on your blog?”
Yes…it is. Tail up and everything.
The journal entry I talked about the other day isn’t coming easily. Hopefully I’ll be back with that tomorrow. In the mean time, enjoy your Friday!

Great finds and I love the cloche.
You definitely hit the jackpot, Ann! The little mug is like the one that hung on the pump at our place on the farm. There was one like it on the old pump of J’s boyhood home, too.
Lucky you. Looks like persistence pays off. What a sweet daughter to find you such a thoughtful gift. I can imagine a million different ways of using the cute little cloche.
Nice treasured finds, Ann.
Love your cloche birdie. But you knew that already, heh heh.
I love your new enamel ware Ann. Fun stuff. And the cloche bird is a perfect match for your blog’s logo. Have a great weekend! Pamela
Fantastic finds Ann and what a sweet gift from your daughter! :-)
Happy weekend friend!

Love the cloche Ann, it really does look like the bird on your blog which makes it extra special I’m sure.
Love all your finds especially the pitcher!
that cloche is precious!!

Great finds! The cloche from your daughter is lovely and it does look like the bird on your logo-a very thoughtful gift.
Hi Ann-
Your finds are all great! You really did hit the jackpot. I love the bird cloche and that your daughter thought of your blog when she selected it!
Well it was your lucky day…you not only found that great pitcher but all those other finds certainly made it a “jack pot” day…Love the cloche…just perfect!!! Such a wonderful and thoughtful gift!
OOOH lucky you! I love that tape measure! I think I might have one like it somewhere. And the vintage linens – one of my absolute favs! I have some vintage linens to blog about too :)
and the bird is just great – what a grand gift!
Love the cloche :)
Great find. She shoots , she scores !!!!!
Lovely finds and gifts, Ann. I love enamelware, although I don’t own any. I like the idea of the writing prompts, but 2012 is not a year I care to reflect and dwell on, so I’m skipping that one.
xo,
RJ
Persistence does pay off! Your daughter has excellent taste!! ;)
What great finds:) Lucky you!
I know what you mean about going shopping with high hopes and not finding much. I’ve been that way for the last six months. You really found some great things. Love the enamel pitcher and the little cloche from your daughter is darling.
Hugs and have a great weekend,
Babs
Fabulous finds my friend! Love, love them all. And that cloche is perfection — what a sweet daughter you have! Hope you’re enjoying winter break with her at home.
Oh, and are you going to Haven? I’ve got my ticket ….
Have a fabulous weekend!
:) Linda
I LOVE your enamelware pitcher and cup. And not just the ones you purchased today…. but all that you have on your shelf there. :-)
Beautiful cloche Ann! I love the enamelware and the old tape is so neat! Happy New Year!
What great finds! I love enamelware… my sister-in-law gave me a pitcher that looks a lot like that and it came with the bowl as well. I love the cloche with the bird!
Love that pitcher! I seem to remember one very much like it during my childhood. They look good all lined up there.

Great finds, Ann! I love, love, love your cloche! How sweet that your daughter saw the bird connection with your blog. I love that!
You found some wonderful pieces there, Ann. I love all your old enamelware. I have a few pieces from the farm including the wash tub that my mother used to bath us kids in. I love that cloche, too. You daughter did good -and the bird is PERFECT- xo Diana
Ann, that was the sweetest gift that your daughter gave you! Can you believe that I am still cloche-less? And your enamelware pitchers and cups looks so pretty grouped together like that. Isn’t it funny how we can find things when we aren’t really looking and when we’re looking, we don’t find anything?
Wow, you hit the jackpot on that trip! Love the enamelware pitcher you found as well as your other goodies.

Love your finds! I need to stop by our antique mall I love hunting for treasures. I have that same cloche but in black…love it! Have a great weekend!
The cloche is precious, so cute! And I’m just crazy about your enamelware and vintage linens! :)
Great finds and great cloche! Happy New Year!
