This little project is one I came up with last month when I was decorating for Christmas. I made a Christmas Tree Pom Pom Pillow and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to make another one. The first thing I thought of was a heart so the idea for this Heart Pom Pom Pillow was born. This is so simple and if you use craft store poms it is equally as quick. I made my poms because I love hand work and rarely take the time to do it. These don’t take a lot of concentration either which is a good thing!
This process will work no matter what design/template you choose. If you want to make your own poms, here’s a tutorial that shows how to use a fork. This is the method I use and it’s fool-proof. All the poms are the same size.
The steps are:
3. Hot Glue
As with my Christmas Tree Pom Pom Pillow, I used a Pottery Barn knock-off pillow cover from Hobby Lobby. They are $9.99 and well made with a zipper closure on the back. I couldn’t make this pillow cover for that price.
I promise I won’t bore you with a pom pom pillow for every season. I just wanted to show you a second one so you can see how one tutorial will work with any design. Here is a heart template so you can easily print one of your own. Most printing programs will let you re-size before you print if you need to tweak it just a little.
I’ll be back on Tuesday with All Things Valentines. See you then!
