Yesterday I told the story of our house. Today, I’m sharing the wreath that was featured on my front door in that post. If this blog had a trademark, which I’m not sure it does, I think it would be the fact that I’m obsessed with wreaths. As my family will tell you, this is nothing new. I’ve ALWAYS loved them and think they are the crucial finishing touch to a welcoming entry. This heart wreath took just a few minutes and was very easy.
DIY Heart Wreath Tutorial
1. Start out with a heart shaped grapevine wreath. Don’t worry if it’s not big or full. It will grow as you add the greenery. Mine has been around a while. It was the star of my very first wreath tutorial.
2. Add a greenery garland of your choice. I used this rosemary garland I found last year. It’s has moved from one wreath to the next since I got it. Use green florist wire to attach the garland to the wreath.
3. I picked up 4 stems of these little white flowers at Hobby Lobby. Using wire cutters, clip a few inches off the bottom of your stems. Then just stick them in the wreath at an angle so the fluttery top ends overlap at the tip of the heart.
Ohio is yet again dealing with dicey weather. Nothing like what happened in the south last week, but it does feel like the gray skies will never be blue again. I splurged at the grocery store yesterday and treated myself to some white tulips.
I was feeling very cooped up and these were such a treat! I highly recommend a little retail therapy if you are feeling the same. I’ll be back tomorrow night with our monthly printables. Rest assured, I will not be watching the Super Bowl. I’ll be where I am every Sunday at this time of year…in Yorkshire with the Crawley family. See you then!
