With each new season comes renewed energy and a bit of a fresh start. We can switch up our decor, change things around, give ourselves a new look. No time is it more fun than in the Fall. The colors and textures can bring a room to life. Even one pop of orange is sometimes enough to change the whole look of a room. For my entry, I stayed simple and somewhat neutral…but with a pop of orange.
For the entry chest of drawers, I left the wood tray there and just changed the accessories. I thought about heading to the grocery for some fresh flowers but instead headed to my back yard. I have two giant oak trees and one of them has low branches. I was able to reach a few and cut some off. I even lucked out and got a couple of branches with acorns still attached.
I added cotton bolls to the ironstone pitcher and called it a day. This literally took 3 minutes because I didn’t totally reinvent the wheel. I switched out my rag balls for the pumpkins but most everything else stayed the same. The ball jars on the top were empty so I filled one with pumpkin vase filler and the other one with cotton bolls.
I switched out my DIY Watercolor Wall Art that I made in the spring for these ones with a fall theme. I’ll be back in a few days with more details on how that works along with printables you can use to make your own watercolors.
Changing seasonal decor should be fun…not stressful or time-consuming. Use what you already have but maybe in a different way. Add a natural element but keep it simple. Here is the source for the baby boo pumpkins: Autumn Harvest Pumpkins. Yes, they were a little pricey but they are so dang cute that it was worth every cent. I can’t grow my own so buying them is my only option!
After the hottest week ever, the temps have cooled and it feels like fall again. I am so ready. Take care and see you soon!
