I am popping in just to let you know that I’ve listed a few Valentine’s Day items in my Etsy shop. I have red striped grain sack heart sachets in two sizes. They are filled with fresh lavender buds and smell divine!
Each heart has a tiny hanger so they can be strung on a piece of twine to make a banner or garland. To give you an idea of what you can do with a garland, I added one to a grapevine wreath. I simply tied the ends of the twine to the grapevine. The weight of the hearts made it fall in a semi-circle to perfectly fit the bottom of the wreath.
If you are interested in making a heart garland, here is a handy template with several different sizes of hearts. These are so easy. Just trace and cut out two hearts. Sew around the heart with your machine’s presser foot along the edge. Insert a ribbon or twine hanger at the top of the heart while the heart is in your machine. Leave a small opening in the side of the heart to insert your lavender or poly fill. After it’s stuffed, place it back in your machine and sew up the opening.
Last, I made some sets of square grain sack lavender sachets.
Everything is already produced and ready to ship. I hope to make some more tea towels soon. I also have a few yards of some lovely toile that I am dying to get my hands on. It’s sort of a pinky red and perfect for Valentine’s Day.
I’ll be back tomorrow with my new and improved baking cupboard. It’s cleaned out and organized. I’m all set for Organization 101.
