I put together a sampling of my fall posts from last year. There are a couple of wreaths, a couple of pillow covers that are super easy and of course fall decorating ideas. I am almost ready to start on this year’s projects and am looking forward to sharing them with all of you.
One of the easiest ways to decorate for Fall is to simply add the colors of the season. Golds, oranges, coppers, dark reds. If you are a neutral person, just one pop of copper is all you need. These warm colors add such a cozy feeling to a room and instantly add a touch of autumn.

Another super easy way to decorate for Fall is to add pumpkins. Sort of a no-brainer right? Pumpkins come in all colors and sizes these days so finding some to blend into your decor isn’t hard. The think I like best about pumpkins is how they can be grouped. In a basket, lined up on a stairway, nestled on a wreath…the possibilities are really endless.

The Applesauce Bread was a big hit last year so I want to thank all my readers for giving it a try. If you missed it, make sure to click over and pin it so you can make it when the cool temps arrive. There is nothing better than turning the oven on and baking during a chilly fall afternoon.

Hi Sandy! Yes I knew about the Country Living article. I was actually quite humbled to be included in that group. I did have to chuckle though because I am so NOT cut out to be a TV star! Thanks for stopping by. <3

  1. Hi Ann! I have been following your blog for about a year now but have never posted…I’m usually just a silent observer who only just discovered this blogland about a year or so ago. I found your site through Jane at Cottage at the Crossroads awhile back (I’m also a SC resident). I have wanted to post to you a number of times recently…but just today saw the Country Living article and thought that I had to wish you a CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I have felt sorrow upon the loss of your mother and have felt your struggles regarding the article about Pinterest (though honestly I am way behind the times and do not have a Pinterest login…or even a Facebook account). I have wanted to write to you several times but after seeing the article today I am finally making the move :-)!! Just wanted to let you know that you touch so many people, even though you may not hear from them on a regular basis. You are so creative and talented! If you had a show on HGTV, I would definitely watch!!!! Keep doing what you do…you are great at it!

Thank you Hali! What a lovely comment…thank you so much for finally writing. I absolutely love Jane and am still hoping that someday we will actually meet each other. I was honored to be included in the Country Living article…the other bloggers are amazing. Thank you for your kindness and friendship…enjoy these last few days of summer. <3

  2. I love the striped pillow in the first photo! Did you make that one, too? Thanks for the great fall tips.

Oh I know Margie! Tuck it away and in the spring it will be such a nice thing to pull out of hiding. <3

  6. Like how each blogger linked to the next. Just the right amount of bloggers’ enough to enjoy a variation on a theme without overwhelm of dozens of blogs to look at. Thanks

Oh my Ann, I’m so trying that applesauce bread!! That looks SO yummy. Fall is my favorite time to bake. :)

  14. I was wondering where your velvet pumpkins came from.
    Everything looks lovely.

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hi Laura…I got the velvet pumpkins last year at Hobby Lobby. I saw them just a week or so ago at Joann Fabric too. Mine don’t have the real stems…the stems are resin but they look realistic enough for me. Thanks for stopping by!
