It’s been a long time since I made a new wreath totally from scratch.
I like to reuse and recycle so I usually can find what I need around here somewhere.
Not this time.
I had in my head what I wanted it to look like so off to Hobby Lobby I went.
I got a 24 in. grapevine wreath
and this garland, both half price.
I talked about this moss I discovered
when I was shopping for my bunny nest.
I had some left and I had the wire.
I found the watering can at JoAnn.
I have had the nest for years and just added moss.
I have burlap ribbon in the pic (but I ended up not using it.)
I attached the garland to the wreath using the wire.
I twisted, cut them off and tucked the rough end under.
I wired on the watering can
and used hot glue to attach the nest and eggs.
The green garland shows up
great from the street and pops off the blue door.
Thanks to our mild winter
the ivy in my planters never died.
I watered it a little and it’s growing again.
Crazy.
I figure this look will get me to summer.
Don’t you think?

Have a blessed day!
I am lovin' your pretty springtime wreath. You did a good job…
Awesome! You did a great job! The nest and watering can are adorable! Love it!
I saw a "flat basket" type that I want. I don't have a lot of room between my front door and the storm door so it has to be skinny! I didn't like it's decor so much but your idea gave me inspiration to fix it! Thanks for sharing!
I love your garden style wreath! I think homemade wreaths are the best anyway. They're a reflection of the homeowner. Love how you used that watering can on there. I would've never thought to do that. So charming!
Gorgeous!! You are so talented!
Lovely! I adore the little additions!
So pretty and spring like! Love it!! This inspires me as I think about a wreath for my door!

I think it's really beautiful. I know what you mean about making it last til summer – i hate changing things out every few weeks. After Easter I will make up one to last quite a while…

Your wreath is lovely! I also really like the color of your front door. What color is it?
Looks really nice, Ann! The watering can adds so much dimension to the wreath. I'd say it should make it til summer, unless you get an itch to change it up. :-) Sue
Absolutely lovely, Ann. It's light and airy and simple. What's not to love? :)
Much love.

Ann, That wreath is gorgeous!! You should go into the wreath making business, too. :) I really love it and it really pops with your door color.
A lovely wreath for your front door and ivy growing, too? Life is good, right?

Ann:
I love your wreath! I am repainting my front door so will also have to get a wreath soon!
just perfect for Spring and it looks wonderful on your door!! the watering can is so unique!
Ann, that is so cute. I haven't had time to do anything to my door. Pooey.
Such a pretty wreath – it should take you through to fall if you ask me. I still have my winter wreath up, but I've almost worked up the motivation to take it down and put something else up. I love your giveaway, but am a little sad – sniff, sniff – that it is only open to people in the US (although I completely understand). Looking forward to seeing the rest of the porch.
That is so cute!!!
Kathy
Ah….love this wreath. Can't wait to move, so I can start doing this type of thing again. You must have had such a fun time with this project and you have something so nice to show for your work…
Looks great. The little eggs are such a sweet touch.
That is just completely awesome, Ann! I love it, so clever and what a gorgeous curb appeal!
