No matter who you are, or how much money you have to spend, everyone likes a bargain! Seasonal artwork can be expensive, but not if you follow a few simple guidelines.
Art Ideas for Fall
1. Try to find free artwork that you can print yourself. One of the benefits of being an OSP email subscriber is gaining access to the Members Only Library. It’s full of artwork that’s just waiting for you to download and print. I’m not an artist, and all the printables are made digitally. But that doesn’t stop them from being festive and fun!
2. Frame the free artwork yourself. Purchase two or three nice frames that match your decor, but make sure they have a removable back. Along with the frames, purchase good quality, neutral mats. This makes it super simple to switch out the artwork for the seasons, without breaking the bank or pounding more holes in your walls.
Easy Art Tip:
My favorite, and the easiest, thing to do is purchase a frame, or frames, with pre-cut mats that have an 8 x 10 inch opening. An 11 x 14 inch or 16 x 20 inch frame works well. By using a mat with an 8 x 10 opening, you are able to print your artwork at home, on standard size card stock. If you can’t find exactly what you want, all craft stores will cut mat board for you, and most will do it while you wait.
This will be the third year I have offered free fall artwork to my email subscribers. The new collection for 2019 will be out very soon, so in the meantime, here are the collections that were offered in the past.
