Easy Fall Tablescape Ideas

This tablescape got its start when I made a natural centerpiece that began with a tray as the base. I used seeded eucalyptus, white pumpkins, dried hydrangeas, and fresh bittersweet to fill the tray.

When I put the place settings together, I kept them simple because the centerpiece sort of steals the show. I paired my navy placemats with ivory plates and added an orange velvet pumpkin for a pop of color.

I created little place cards from last year’s Thanksgiving napkin ring printable. You could also easily print names on small cards to make the tags a bit more personal.

We’ll be a small number for Thanksgiving dinner this year, but I still like to make an effort and add some festive touches to the table. They don’t have to be elaborate or expensive. Use things you already have in a different way to make things feel new.

I made the little pumpkin bundt cake from a recipe on Home Pressure Cooking. I don’t have an instant pot, but I bought the bundt pan and baked the cake in my oven. I love the small size…it’s perfect for just a few people.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but today’s post wraps up my fall decor for 2017. It seems like just yesterday it was August and we were full of plans for welcoming autumn into our homes. I hope you’ve had some time to sit and watch the leaves turn. It’s now time to send you along to Julie Blanner. Julie never disappoints and has the most perfect, classic style. I know you will love what she has waiting.

Ann, your table is classic and elegant! I love the colors, and the ease of your centerpiece being on a tray, so that should you need to, you can easily move it out of the way in case you want to put your serving platters directly onto the table. Happy Autumn, Ann! xo Lidy

  15. Ann, I notice you use the eucalyptus often in your arrangements. I love it, do you have a retail source for it or is it something you have had for a while?

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hi Sheila! I had to special order that eucalyptus from a local flower shop. It can be difficult to find. A good online source is Etsy. There are sellers that feature eucalyptus bundles as well as garlands. Here is an affiliate link to some listings: http://rstyle.me/n/ctmjkrb4svx.
      I hope this helps!
