Easy Healthy Breakfast Ideas & Recipes
In this post:Â A collection of 6 easy healthy breakfast ideas that includes muffins, smoothies, granola, and a breakfast cookie. Perfect for on-the-go families!
Starting your day off with a healthy breakfast may sound easy, but in reality, sometimes it’s not. In order to make eating choices that benefit your health, good food needs to be in your kitchen! This is my biggest weakness when it comes to eating healthy. I’m not always prepared…so I end up eating toast or even worse, I don’t eat anything at all.Â
The healthy breakfast ideas that follow are all simple to make and are good choices. Except for the bran muffins, they all include oatmeal. Oatmeal is full of fiber and according to the experts, it can actually lower your cholesterol. Including it in your breakfast is just a smart thing to do.Â
I love and make all of these recipes, but the banana oatmeal smoothie is my favorite. I had never made a smoothie in my life until last year, and now I can’t imagine not having them in my breakfast rotation. If you’ve never made smoothie recipes for your breakfast, and you like bananas, my recipe is a great one to start with. My second favorite breakfast is the olive oil granola sprinkled on yogurt. If I eat that in the morning just after my coffee, it stays with me until lunch.
Take a stroll through the recipes and I’ll see you at the end.

I have one more healthy breakfast idea to share that doesn’t really need an actual recipe. I love a 100% whole wheat english muffin topped with peanut butter and thin slices of banana. Organic peanut butter is best, but most of the time I use Jif Whips. It is in the peanut butter section of your grocery store, and it comes in a plastic tub instead of a jar. It has a few less calories than regular Jif and is delicious!
I hope you have been inspired to try something new for breakfast and start your day feeling great. Until next time…
