In this post: A collection of 6 easy healthy breakfast ideas that includes muffins, smoothies, granola, and a breakfast cookie. Perfect for on-the-go families!

Starting your day off with a healthy breakfast may sound easy, but in reality, sometimes it’s not. In order to make eating choices that benefit your health, good food needs to be in your kitchen! This is my biggest weakness when it comes to eating healthy. I’m not always prepared…so I end up eating toast or even worse, I don’t eat anything at all.

The healthy breakfast ideas that follow are all simple to make and are good choices. Except for the bran muffins, they all include oatmeal. Oatmeal is full of fiber and according to the experts, it can actually lower your cholesterol. Including it in your breakfast is just a smart thing to do.

I love and make all of these recipes, but the banana oatmeal smoothie is my favorite. I had never made a smoothie in my life until last year, and now I can’t imagine not having them in my breakfast rotation. If you’ve never made smoothie recipes for your breakfast, and you like bananas, my recipe is a great one to start with. My second favorite breakfast is the olive oil granola sprinkled on yogurt. If I eat that in the morning just after my coffee, it stays with me until lunch.

Take a stroll through the recipes and I’ll see you at the end.

I have one more healthy breakfast idea to share that doesn’t really need an actual recipe. I love a 100% whole wheat english muffin topped with peanut butter and thin slices of banana. Organic peanut butter is best, but most of the time I use Jif Whips. It is in the peanut butter section of your grocery store, and it comes in a plastic tub instead of a jar. It has a few less calories than regular Jif and is delicious!

I hope you have been inspired to try something new for breakfast and start your day feeling great. Until next time…

  1. I was looking to buy some healthy Granola and I remembered seeing you had a recipe for Healthy Gronala I made it this morning and OMG it is good!! Only problem for me is this maybe a trigger food can’t stop eating it. Thank You for the r recipes.

  2. I love smoothies, too, but struggle having them in the winter! I crave something warm, instead.

  3. Muffins sound so delish – used to make a mix bran cereal that could be kept in the fridge and used on a daily basis. Must find it. Most of all – love the pictures. Prettiest smile there is.

  4. Thank you so much for sharing in 2018. Happy New Year to you and your family. May wonderful things bring this new year your way🎊💕

  5. Thanks ~ These are just what I need !!
    : )

  6. Thanks for these recipes. Breakfast is hard for me. But if I make it ahead of time I do better. I am definitely NOT a morning person.😀

  7. I love both your smoothie recipes. In not wanting to use ice cubes, I freeze a variety of fruits.
Then I have a selection to use to mix up the flavors. I also use yogurt (Activia) and about 1/4 c. Fat free milk instead of almond milk. As always, thanks for sharing and Happy New Year!

  8. I’m so glad I found your blog several years ago now. I’m thankful how you share recipes, decorating and life in general. It’s important to share all these things

I still haven’t tried the granola recipe and either had missed it but I’m going to do

    Happy new year
