Fall Home Tour

Fall Home Tour | On Sutton PlaceEven after almost 4 years of blogging, there are still some things I have never done. Things I’ve been meaning to do but for one reason or another they just have not happened. I have always wanted to have a Fall Home Tour on my blog. Now I do and I hope you enjoy it. It features the same old spaces, but with simple touches of Autumn decor. Nothing hard or expensive…just ideas that anyone can do. I hope to have full posts of the living room and dining room in the next few weeks. I have already shared the entry and the front porch. Now for the tour!

Hi Robin! If you found my photography post you know that I take all my own pics and that it’s been a journey! Good luck and definitely get the lessons!

      1. Robin LaMonte @Rooms Revamped Interior Design says:

        Ann,

I did find your photography lessons on your blog after my first comment.
I am always impressed with the high quality room shots because I pay for my rooms to be professionally shot (except for my blog, because I want my blog to be authentic) and you have inspired me to take the time to learn photography.
Thank you again for your lovely tour and I shall spend time reading more about you and your posts.

  19. Robin LaMonte @Rooms Revamped Interior Design says:

    1. Ann Drake says:

I have never seen something like that at Hobby Lobby…thank you so much. I will definitely be on the look out!

  21. It’s perfect, Ann. You have such a knack for doing just the right amount. I love that the touches are subtle, and not overdone. BTW – check out my post on your Oatmeal Cake! Hope you get some traffic coming to your blog to get the recipe!

Everything looks beautiful! You have done such a lovely job on your fall decor. From stepping onto your porch, to opening the door and entering your inviting entry, surely it couldn’t get better. But, in Ann fashion, it certainly did. I love your dining and living room fall fluffing! Incorporating the touches of fall with your golds and navy, well, I just love it. Can’t wait to see more! 30. Lori Shuman says:

I am so envious that you have your own crop of Bittersweet. I have longed for it in my own yard…Your designs are lovely and restful. Utter elegance.

    1. Ann Drake says:

Bittersweet is not easy to grow and it’s invasive so you have to keep it under control. I think it’s totally worth the trouble though! Thank you for stopping by…Ann

  31. Just stunning. It is simple elegance! !! And your photography is amazing.

    1. Ann Drake says:

Thank you for stopping by Deborah!

  39. I just love the topiaries in the galvanized tubs. I actually have one that was used in our family (+60 yrs ago) and couldn’t decide how to use it. Wish I had the other one and stand!! Thanks for a great idea!!!

  40. FYI, I just saw an identical 3-tiered stand at our local Homegoods in Northern Virginia. They also had lots of wire tired fruit stands to sit on a kitchen countertop or island. (No, I don’t work for them…just wanted to spread the word!). Ann, I just love your style of decor! You manage to add hints of current trends without going overboard or losing the class. LOVE YOUR STYLE!

    1. Ann Drake says:

Thanks for the tip on Homegoods! It would be way easier to just go buy it someplace and not have to deal with shipping. Happy Fall Susan!

It was worth the 4-year wait to see your fall home tour, Ann! Your home always looks so lovely and your fall decor is beautiful. I love all of your touches and I am so jealous of that bittersweet peeking through your greenery on your front porch! Unfortunately, it doesn’t grow here and I don’t buy it because I can never bring myself to pay $20 for a sickly looking strand at the grocery store. I guess I will just live vicariously through you! :)
    Have a wonderful day!
    Julie

    1. Ann Drake says:

Thank you Jane…you are the most gracious and generous blogger around. What a nice thing to say!

  53. Hi Ann! Oh, everything looks so lovely at your house. I love the wreath on your front door and I’m sure you made it! Love it. All the little subtle touched of fall look beautiful. I saw your front porch and love that also. We’ve just moved to an new to us old house in upstate New York and everyone around us has rockers similar to yours on their front porches. Of course I’ve got to get some too! :) You always do it up right and I hope you’re doing well.

  61. Love the blue plates against the lovely yellow and white wallpaper or did you stencil the walls? I also noticed your collection of white stoneware pitchers in your living room. Very attractive. Watching the transition of your home over the past four years has given me inspirations for our home’s revamp.
