Hello! I hope you have something lovely planned for today…but before you get busy I want to tell you about a few new items in my online shop. These handmade clay tags came about as a solution for personalizing my line of stockings. Last year I partnered with an Etsy shop that sold clay tags so I didn’t have to deal with it myself. I found out that shop was closed so I needed a “plan B” quickly. My sewing assistant, Connie (also one of my best friends) decided we should make them ourselves. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure about taking on one more thing…but she seemed confident that we could do it so we gave it a try.
We first figured out the monogrammed tags for the stockings. They took a little practice, a little trial and error, but we soon had them ready to roll. Next we moved on to tags that can be used as tree ornaments, gift tie-ons or even table decor. I also think they would be darling strung on twine as a garland. (Just click the pictures to be taken to the specific listing.)
These have been really fun…both of us enjoy making them. It’s totally different from sewing and it’s a nice break. Connie has pretty much taken over making them for the shop but we both want to make some for ourselves when things slow down a bit.
Thank you for taking a look! Let me know if you have questions about anything in the shop. I am winding down production and hope to have everything listed in another week or two. Still to come are pillow covers, grain sack items and hopefully some more ornaments. I’ll be back tomorrow with my Christmas mantel!
