This series, HAVE WANT WATCH WEAR, features my current favorites. Today I’m providing inspiration for gift-giving, TV-watching, outdoor porch decor, and comfortable spring clothes.
Welcome to HAVE WANT WATCH WEAR No. 2…where I share favorite items I have, things I’m dreaming about, what I’m watching and what I’m wearing. The first edition was well-received so I thought I would try it again. Let’s go!

I just love this. I actually needed a new trowel so I decided to treat myself! This little set would be the perfect Mother’s Day or birthday gift for the gardener in your life. I cannot imagine anyone not loving it. There are other designs and colors to choose from in my Amazon Shop.
I have wanted a diffuser for a while, and finally bought one. This model is very easy to use and even though it is new, it looks very easy to clean. I set it up in my living room, where I work. I am enjoying it immensely and highly recommend a diffuser if you use essential oils.
Here’s my cute granddaughter, modeling her new bunny hat! I saw this hat on Facebook a while ago, way before I had anyone to buy it for. When Easter rolled around, I knew exactly what gift to send. This little hat is adorable, comes in several sizes, and is reasonably priced for something this nice. If you have a little girl in your life, I think she needs one! (The day her parents took the pictures, she was much more interested in her shoe. Ha!)
Since our trip to Magnolia Market, I have been obsessed with these tulip cupcake liners. The Silos Baking Co. uses them for all their cupcakes so as soon as we got home, I ordered some for myself. They make baking muffins and cupcakes so much more fun!
The thing I want the most right now is furniture in my back porch. Last summer, I gave away all my white wicker to a friend. Since it was old, authentic wicker, the paint chipped constantly and it had to be painted every year. I just couldn’t keep up with it, so I let it go. I would love white pieces again, but I’m a little shocked at the price of outdoor furniture. I’ve been online shopping and have come up with a few ideas that might work.
I have an antique dresser that lives in the porch and it’s painted white. Right now that’s the only thing out there. I want two resin wicker chairs on either side of the dresser for a sitting area. I also thought it would be nice to have a table and a couple of chairs…sometimes I like to work out there so a table would come in handy. I haven’t used the porch since the summer of 2016 because last summer it was empty. If you want to see what it looked like the last time I photographed it, click HERE. This time, I am going for a much simpler, cleaner look. I sure hope I can pull it off.
This is the section where I share what I’ve been watching on TV since the last HWWW. It was slim-pickings this time around, but I’ve listed what I think you might like.
See all my previous recommendations from HAVE WANT WATCH WEAR No. 1. There are no selections this time from Netflix. I haven’t found anything to watch there for quite a while.
Shetland Season 4 on BritBox. (Seasons 1 – 3 are available to buy on Amazon. I watched them for free on Acorn. I’m not sure why they are now a paid thing.) BritBox is airing Season 4, but not all at once. There are six episodes and currently three are available. The episodes are going up on Saturdays. If you watched the previous seasons, you will jump right back in for season 4. I have a confession though…I had to turn on my closed caption because I had a really hard time understanding the Scottish accents. I know it’s technically English but sometimes it sounds like a foreign language!
Striking Out Season 2 (series) on Acorn. Really enjoyed this season and the ending was amazing.
Close to the Enemy (series) on Acorn. Takes place right after World War II in London. Freddie Highmore (The Good Doctor) has a leading role so that’s why I gave it a try. Very good but parts of it were a bit confusing. Two (I think) scenes with nudity that were completely unneccessary. I just forwarded through them!
Island at War (series) on Amazon Prime Video. An older series that aired on PBS several year ago, Island at War is about the German occupation of the Channel Islands during World War II. Enjoyable but a little slow.
Howard’s End (series) on Starz. Based on the E. M. Forster novel. Stars Matthew Macfadyen (Mr. Darcy from Pride & Prejudice) and Hayley Atwell. I love them both so I enjoyed watching.
Wish You Well (movie) on Amazon. Really good story about a family going through a lot of stuff. Stars Ellen Burstyn and she’s wonderful.
- Jane Eyre (2006) on BritBox.
- Jane Eyre (2011) rent on Amazon.
- Pearl Harbor (2001) on HBO or rent on Amazon. I rented this during a cold February weekend and watched it twice. Totally loved every minute!
- Brooklyn (2015) rent on Amazon.
- To Walk Invisible: The Bronte Sisters on Amazon
- My Mother and Other Strangers on Amazon
- Me Before You on Amazon
Restored: I just started watching this about a month ago. It films in California and they authentically restore old homes. I love seeing what they uncover and how they make the homes functional for today.
Maine Cabin Masters: The crew is funny but my favorite thing is the scenery!
Stone House Revival: Films in and around Buck’s County, PA. They restore houses that were built as far back as the 1700’s. If you like old stuff, this show is for you.
When Calls The Heart on Hallmark. I’m not sure what’s going on with this show…but I have a feeling Daniel Lissing, who plays Jack Thornton, is leaving. His character may be dead already, but we’ll find out (hopefully) when the season finale airs tonight.
You can watch seasons 1 – 4 of When Calls The Heart on Netflix. Season 5 is available to buy on Amazon. Season 6 will finish airing tonight.
Update: Yep…Mountie Jack is gone. Not sure what next season will bring or if I will even watch. Time will tell on that.
Little Women: On PBS. Begins Sunday, May 13, 2018.
Nashville: Final season begins June 7, 2018.
Dancing With The Stars: Spring season featuring all athletes begins Monday, April 30, 2018.
We are going to visit my grandaughter (and her parents) next month for Mother’s Day. I looked at my clothes from last spring and honestly, I’m not sure what I wore. I decided to treat myself to a couple of new outfits and had good luck, as usual, at J.Jill. I waited until they were running a 30% off sale so the pieces I got were affordable. Here are the outfits I chose:
As you can tell, I prefer casual and comfortable. This look definitely isn’t for everyone, but it works for me. The only sale going on right now is an extra 30% off sale items…but none of the items above are on sale. There are some really cute options that were just marked down so if you need something new, it’s worth a look. If you are on my email list, I try to let my subscribers know when there is a sale. Sign up HERE if you are interested.
That’s a wrap for HAVE WANT WATCH WEAR No. 2. I hope your Sunday is beautiful. Enjoy!
