Home for the Holidays ~ 2011 Front Porch

Welcome to my front porch!
No matter the season the basics stay the same.
You sure can’t get more basic than white wicker and a lamp.
I switch up the cushions, pillows, lamp shade and accessories.
I used a Pottery Barn lamp shade that was previously in my living room.
The natural color (with a hint of red) is repeated in the little pillows
and the burlap ribbon on the wreath.
Green cushions (Pier 1) and red IKEA pillow covers…
and the back end of a little dog.
I actually got myself outside after dark to snap a few pictures.
It was a little chilly so I was pretty quick!

I hope the lights and holiday touches say welcome…

come on in and get warm.

From my home to yours…

Merry Christmas!

It must be nice to not be in the cold during this time of year! We are very lucky to be experiencing a warm November and December, with many days in the 50's and warmer! Maybe only January and February will be cold?

In any case, your porch and your entry way are just beautiful. Love the berries!

I love the look, and like when you can reuse what you have and make it work for all seasons. I don't know where people store all the holiday items. Easier to make work what you have. Where did you get that huge pinecone? They don't grow them that big here. Lovely setting.

  28. Love the lamp on the porch.. great idea

  29. Your porch is so beautiful and inviting for the season. You did a great job decorating it.

Love the berries on the side with the lights. Do a tutorial on how to do those. That would go with my berry wreath from Restoration Hardware.

  32. Your porch is truly beautiful. My two favorite details are the HUGE pinecone and the dog butt.;)

  33. Your porch really does say 'welcome' – and I'm sure that the message is the same, no matter what the season.
