Sometimes the simplest things can make a difference…and with the busy holiday season almost upon us, simple is best. These No Sew Wine Bottle Gift Wrap ideas are the perfect way to present a bottle of your favorite beverage to family, co-workers or friends.
The absolute simplest way to do this is to use a tea towel. You can pick them up at TJMaxx or other discount stores for just a few dollars. IKEA has nice ones too. The steps to wrap a bottle are below. I tried it a few different ways and this one was the winner.
I had to come up with a way, without sewing, to tack the overlapped edge. A straight pin works great. There is no glue and no mess. The tea towel isn’t damaged and can be considered part of the gift.
I used grosgrain ribbon to tie around the neck of the bottle but again, use anything you have on hand. Below is what I used to make the tags. They actually took longer than wrapping the bottle. I picked up tags, washi tape and some fun fall scrapbook stickers at Joann.
After I wrapped a few bottles with the tea towels, I wanted to try something else so I cut a piece of the gold dotted burlap I used in my last no sew project. I folded it exactly like the tea towel. The only added thing I did was fray the top edge.

Thank you for hanging with me until the end…this post is longer than usual. Wishing you a lovely weekend and enjoy that extra hour of sleep!
Ann, I am definitely pinning this and saving it. I love creative gift wrapping solutions and this one is so pretty and practical. I love seeing everyone’s no-sew creations every month.
Ann, so simple but you make them look spectacular and chic! I adore the burlap with gold dots. Next time I take a bottle of wine to a hostess, it’s going to get the SUTTON PLACE treatment! I’m thrilled to be a part of the NO -SEW girls!
Cute Ann! I just made some burlap wine “wraps” myself, and was wishing I had some of the gold dot burlap, that is on my must get list! Your tags are lovely~
What a great idea, Ann! That way you have two gifts in one! I love all of the pretty embellishment, too! This makes a wonderful hostess gift for the holidays! Loved working with the No-Sew gang again!…hugs…Debbie
So many great projects! I love to sew when I’m in the mood, but if there is a no sew, I always prefer it! Thanks for the opportunity to win the gift card! Life to the full! Melissa
Ann, what a great idea to use a tea towel to present wine as a gift! I am really enjoying all these no-sew projects since I don’t have a machine. I could have used the $100 gift certificate today because I bought fabric to have new curtains made for our front porch.
Ann, what does it say on the tags? A great and simple idea for a quick gift need. Thanks:)
Paula the writing is actually washi tape! It looks like vintage print so of course I had to try it.
What a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful and classic! Love this idea!
Ann, these are my favorites so far. Perfect for a gift!
No sew … perfect for me. Thanks, Ann.
Fondly,
Glenda
Those are super neat Ann! I just love that polka dot burlap!
These wraps are beautiful, Ann. I love the idea of using a tea towel too!
