In this post: Home Style Saturdays featuring stunning & stylish fall decor. Fall mantels, fall dining room, fall farmhouse porch & more. Soft, neutral fall decor ideas.
Like the rest of the nation, I am watching and worried about Hurricane Irma. If any of you are in her path, please know we are wishing you well and hoping for your safety. If you’re like me, you might be feeling helpless. I have a very small way you can help and it’s so easy. One of my good friends is the creator of the blog Shabbyfufu and a contributor to Home Style Saturdays. Janet lives in Florida, near Miami in a lovely beach house. She and her husband are planning to hunker down and are as prepared as possible. Their life will surely be severely interrupted and as a result, she will be away from her blog. Here’s how you can help:
- Visit her blog and look around. She’s the last link at the bottom of this page.
- While you are there, pin some of her beautiful images.
- Leave her a comment so she knows we care.
This may not seem like much but believe me…it is huge. She will be very grateful…and so will I.
Thank you for stopping by. Enjoy the links!

Thanks for the kind thoughts for those in Irma’s path. We stayed in our new home in Ft Myers and it was awful. But we had minimal damage (we live in a concrete block home built to strictest codes) and only had one small leak from wind driven rain during the approach of the eye wall. The eye passed over us and we were able to get out and take a breath before the bottom of the storm passed by. We have electricity too which is amazing.
Lovely ideas! Found few thoings I’ll surely add to myfall decoration. Loved the hydrangea blossoms arranged around the velvet pumpkins – I love adding flowers too and surely will get some of them. Thank you for sharing! These posts are a real inspiration.
My sister is in Atlantic Beach and boyfriend in Jacksonville. Wendi from H20Bungalow I hope is still up north. My sister has lived there for over 30 years and takes it in stride. But I worry much. Ann, you are so kind. I am joining Shabyfufu. And the cupcakes with cream cheese will be on the table for dessert tonight.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! YOUR EMAIL IS UPLIFTING! I am so sorry for the people you “know” hunkering down. My sis is 81, listening to her lunatic husband, and they are going in their little corolla to the back of the field where there are no trees and sleeping, etc. till it blows over. They are north of Ocala, FL. I feel helpless. I asked her this morning if her lunatic husband would take her to a shelter in Ocala and then HE can go back to the field. Forgive me, God, in heaven above, but, I care not what happens to him. Forgive me, Ms. Drake. I so love your webpage. I have been so inspired and no NOT, HOW I FOUND IT. I mimicked or “copied” your Christmas theme from so year, last yrs. , on my front porch. I am in Old Hickory, TN. Andrew Jackson, President, is my neighbor. I love your design. Your taste, is SO ME!!! Your touches make me look so good. ha!!!
Love your blog today Ann, your porch is beautiful. Praying for all of those in the path of Irma.

Great tips, Janet! I hope you and your family stay safe!
While the loose tea looks lovely is your canning jars, I’ve always heard that tea should be stored in the dark.
I do enjoy your site very much. Everything always looks so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your ideas and talent.
I liked them all. My favs – your porch ( very welcoming) and Savvy Southern Style’s mantle ( prooving one can decorate for Autumn without pumpkins)
