9. CULINARY CORNER: Delicious Summer Fruit Crisp: Preheat the oven to 350°. Grease a large pie dish with butter. In a large bowl, gently combine 6 cups of summer fruit (or a mix of fruits), 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 zest of a lemon and its juice. In a food processor, pulse until combined; add 1 1/2 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 brown sugar, packed, 1 cup oatmeal (regular from the round container), 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 pound (2 sticks). Put the fruit in the bottom of the pie dish. Sprinkle 2 1/2 cups of the crumb topping over the fruit. Freeze the rest of the topping for the next fruit crisp. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Cool for 15-20 minutes and serve with ice cream.

As such, I’ve focused my attention on a capsule of black, white, and khaki basics mixed to their best advantage. Favorite pieces include this perfect black tee with white Bermuda shorts, this black cotton midi dress with khaki linen cardigan, this white tank top (also comes in black) with black cropped jeans (pair with the same khaki sweater), this bi-color tank top with white wide leg pants, this khaki maxi dress with black or white boyfriend blazer, this black midi slip skirt with white linen eyelet tank and khaki linen oversized shirt. Boom… done!
9. WHAT’S INSPIRING ME AROUND THE WEB: I absolutely love how this home hits the perfect note of modern mixed with rustic. Here’s another wonderful mix of rustic traditional with modern, but done with more color and darks and lights. This home veers a little more true modern and yet still utilizes rustic notes to warm up the spaces. The use of black is perfection.
