WELCOME TO THE WISH LIST!

sweet chex mix in large bowl 2023

1.) I just shared a recipe for pumpkin cream cheese muffins. A cake mix makes them so easy, and the cream cheese filling makes them so yummy.

2.) See a new collection of my Amazon favorites HERE!

3.) FAVORITE QUOTE: “And then she realized she was replaceable in every area of her life except her home. So she invested her time, her energy, and her heart wisely.” ~Jillian Benfield

4.) LOVELY HOME TOURS: roam around this photographer’s charming Swedish summer cottage in the woods, and see how this rundown garage was transformed Into a charming guesthouse On Mobile Bay.

5.) LATEST FAVORITE FINDS:

6.) READER FAVORITES: if you’re wishing for a relaxing way to spend an afternoon, organize a craft session. They always make me feel better. Pumpkins are beginning to appear, and these mini pumpkin flower arrangements are easy and so cute. Or head to the kitchen and make this oven-baked sweet Chex mix. It’s a combination of sugar and spice…which in my book, is a match made in heaven!

7.) A NEW YOUTUBE CHANNEL TO FOLLOW: I recently found a new-to-me YouTube channel, and I have loved getting to know the couple who have embarked on the most amazing journey. They are reawakening a French château called Château de Pernon. This video is a four year timelapse that shows highlights of what they have accomplished. I’ve explored many of the videos that concentrate on specific projects, and I’ve loved every single one!

8.) RECOMMENDATIONS: from my daughter, a book called The God Of The Woods. Apollo 13: Survival, and Aloha, both on Netflix. A new season of Under The Vines is on Acorn, and because I can always watch it one more time, Sense and Sensibility on Amazon Prime.

9.) FALL FASHION FOR LESS:

10.) Things around here have been quiet. We’ve had some cooler temps, so I’ve been wearing leggings and sweatshirts…which makes me very happy. Lately, I find that I’m so grateful for any small moments of happiness…and I’m wishing you happy moments as well.

Add 1 diced apple, 2 cups rolled oats, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp allspice, and 1/8 tsp ground cloves. In a small bowl, mix together 2 TBS sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Set aside. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top it with cinnamon sugar. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes. Serve in a large shallow bowl and pour milk over it. Drizzle with maple syrup.

ANSWER TO #7: Fall is mating season for spiders. They are looking for a mate. Squirrel’s brains get bigger when they hide nuts in the fall. It helps them remember where they put them. Now you know!

7. WHAT I’M READING: After Tom Lake, I went back and read Commonwealth by Ann Patchett, and I think it has the same kind of slice-of-life sensibility, although it covers much more ground. Another study of complex family relationships, it’s the writing style that I found to be more defining than the story itself.

8. FASHION PICKS: One of this year’s hottest trends is western-inspired looks. Get the look:

9. WHAT’S INSPIRING ME AROUND THE WEB: Sharing some lovely images this week from one of my all time favorite Instagram accounts, including this simple, charming, yet utterly gorgeous entryway, this wonderful example of beautifully styled shelves, and this delightful corner that shows off Swedish style so perfectly.
