8. WHAT I’M READING: I tend to enjoy lighter, inspirational books as part of my morning routine. I just ordered The Scandinavian Guide to Happiness: The Nordic Art of Happy and Balanced Living with Fika, Lagom, Hygge, and More! by Tim Rayborn and I can’t wait to dig in!!

9. WHAT’S INSPIRING ME AROUND THE WEB: I’m really loving how design is becoming more complex this year, with mixed looks in each home. This designer spotlight shows that concept so well. These spaces are equally as inspiring, mixing darks and lights and traditional with modern. This lovely bath illustrates a similar mix of rustic with modern.

9. CULINARY CORNER: Gourmet Chocolate Covered Strawberries: Wash 2 lbs. of large strawberries and dry them well. Add finely chopped nuts, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, or anything to roll the strawberries in a bowl. Line a sheet pan with wax or parchment paper. Put Ghirardelli Baking Chips in a microwave-proof bowl and microwave them on high for 30-second intervals, stirring them until they are melted. Hold the strawberries by the stem, dip them into the chocolate, and swirl them to cover. Lift them up, let any excess chocolate drip back into the bowl, and then roll them into toppings. Place them on the parchment paper to dry. Melt white chocolate and drizzle over the strawberries with a fork. Let dry. Enjoy!

10. THE LAST WORD: Do everything in love. 1 Cor 16:14.

ANSWER TO #7: A bat is the only mammal that can fly. Valentine comes from a Roman word that means “strong and healthy.” Now you know!
