  1. Love your beautiful home!

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hi Mary…the snowflake lantern came from Kirkland’s and it sold out way before Christmas. I thought they might get more in but they did not. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

  2. Home, is the best place to be! I too enjoy making our house a home. A warm, inviting, comfortable place for anyone who walks through the doors to feel welcomed. Thank you for sharing & encouraging!

  3. Norma Rolader says:

Gorgeous home and such a special story thank you for sharing with us

  4. Did you make the “hanging basket” holding the tulips on the stairs? You have wonderful taste!

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hello…no I didn’t. That bag was a gift from my daughter. She got it from a seller on eBay. His store is called Stacks of Sacks if you want to look it up!

  5. Love, love, love your home. I am drawn to the mantle with the sconces, mirror and flowers. So simple and elegant!

  6. I have been a northern girl my entire life so when my husband was retiring, he wanted to head south which didn’t sit well with me having to leave my family. So now we are in a home that has no personality at all.We have painted, landscaped, changed the lighting and added hardwood floors.I’m hoping for a new kitchen this year.Your home is always a work in progress and a labor of love, yours is proof of that.Beautiful job Ann,can’t wait to see what you have in store for 2018,Happy New Year !

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hi Doreen…I hope you get your kitchen! That is at the top of my wish-list but it doesn’t look good for this year. Happy New Year to you too!

      1. Hi Ann,

Thank you Ann.After living here 2 years, the new kitchen is going to become a reality. That will put a little more of me into this house.I hope your dream becomes reality in the near future.

      2. Ann, I love your kitchen! Don’t change a thing! I’ve always admired your blue tiled countertops…the unique features make your house special. You make it all look beautiful. Love your colonial home!

  7. We just built what is supposed to be our “last” home. I say home with trepidation as I am having a hard time bonding with this house. It’s so new, and too perfect. It has an amazing view and is in a prime location, but I still drive up to it go hmmm. I feel guilty owning this home even though we both worked hard for many years to get to this point. I think I know what is missing – years of family memories. Precious and impossible to replicate. I love the warmth of your home and all the hard work you and funds you put into it. It is like one big loving hug…..

  8. Beautiful home! I usually am not into blues, BUT I love your bedroom. So soothing. I printed out the house trio, framed and now anxious to hang. Thank you!
