Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, or a large mixing bowl, add the cake mix, pudding cups, and eggs.
Mix on low speed just until combined. Turn mixer up to medium-high and beat for 2 minutes.
Put cake batter into prepared 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture evenly on cake batter.
Top with the cinnamon chips.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Cool and serve with brown sugar whipped topping.
To prepare the brown sugar whipping topping: add the brown sugar and cinnamon to the 8 oz. container of whipped topping. Stir well. Refrigerate until ready to use.
