When it comes to home decor, nothing says more about the people who live in a home than the artwork displayed there. It tells the story of your family…it reflects your interests, and your sense of style. When I see a quote that speaks to me, I immediately want to share it with all of you. The three quotes featured in this post spoke to me very loudly, so I knew you would like them too.
The three printables featured in this collection were inspired by some William Morris patterns I found online. William Morris was first a poet and scholar, but he was also a master textile designer, and revolutionized production methods in the late 1800’s. William Morris prints can be found on fabric, wallpaper, and other decor items. His work is now part of the public domain, and I am so happy to share it with you.
Even though he died in 1896, the philosophy that William Morris lived by speaks volumes today. He believed that “society should work toward promoting the happiness and well-being of every one of its members, by creating a union of art and labour in the service of society.” *
The quotes included in this set are from Morris, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and Winston Churchill. All three are gentle reminders to live our best lives…and to grant ourselves grace.
