1. CAN THESE COOKIES GO IN THE FREEZER?

Yes! They freeze beautifully. I place them in freezer resealable bags, and we take them out whenever we are in need of a sweet treat. I'll tell you this, they don't last very long, even in the freezer!

2. HAVE YOU EVER TRIED BUTTER FLAVORED CRISCO?

Yes...I have. It's very good, but we prefer just plain Crisco.

3. CAN BUTTER BE SUBSTITUTED FOR THE CRISCO?

Yes...use the same amount. The flavor of the cookies will change. When butter is used in baked goods, they tend to have a crispier, flatter texture. It just depends on what you prefer!

4. CAN I USE A SMALLER SCOOP?

Yes! When my grandchildren come to visit, I make smaller cookies using a 1.5 inch scoop. Decrease the baking time by about 2 minutes, but watch the cookies so they don't get too brown.
