Sunday Brunch Buffet Recipes & Ideas
Plan a no-fuss Sunday brunch buffet with these simple recipes and ideas. Everything can be adapted for any size group, with time-saving tips included!
Since we will hopefully be entertaining again soon, I thought I would share some easy Sunday brunch buffet ideas. The best thing about serving brunch is that it eliminates a meal. Breakfast and lunch are combined, so the day’s work is reduced. It’s a relaxing way to feed your family and friends. Just set up a casual buffet, and let everyone help themselves.
Plan a Sunday Brunch Buffet
First up is a Drake family favorite. One of the easiest things to do for your main course is a make-ahead breakfast casserole. The ingredients are super simple, and it’s all assembled the night before. That means in the morning, there is nothing more to do than place the casserole in the oven. I’ve been making this breakfast casserole recipe for so long that I know the ingredients by heart. I’ve also adapted the recipe into Breakfast Egg Muffins. You can find the recipe, with both versions included, [HERE.]
So…you need something to go with your casserole or breakfast egg muffins…right? I have two amazing easy Sunday brunch buffet ideas for side dishes. The first is sour cream coffee cake.
I use a bundt pan for this, and it really does make a beautiful addition to your Sunday brunch menu. You can definitely make this the day before too. Just store it in an air-tight container ,and it will stay fresh for several days…but it probably won’t last that long! Click [HERE] for the recipe.
Up next are these sweet and delicious blueberry muffins. They can be made the day before, so all you have to do before you serve brunch is warm them in a low oven for a few minutes. Click {HERE} for the recipe.
If the coffee cake and muffins won’t work for your family, take a look at my Quick Breads category. Quick breads are a great substitute for coffee cakes, and all of the recipes can be made into muffins. (If you prefer.)
To round out your menu, a bowl of fresh fruit works perfectly. If you want a little project that the kids can help with, make fruit kabobs. They are so pretty, and super easy to serve. Another idea that is a bit fancier is a Fresh Citrus Salad. Top things off with juice and coffee.
Sunday Brunch Buffet Flower Idea
I know, for most of us, it’s too early for peonies. If you are very lucky, you may be able to pick some up at your grocery store. If not, use this mason jar idea with any kind of flowers…even faux stems. Simply place some mason jars on your buffet, fill them with flowers, and you are good to go!
I hope these easy Sunday brunch buffet ideas will help lighten the load, and fill our days with enjoyable family time.
