1.) the thoughtful holiday guide

If youโ€™re still looking for a small, thoughtful gift, and feeling a bit short on time, this Reindeer Food snack mix is perfect. It comes together quickly with simple ingredients, so even at the last minute, thereโ€™s still plenty of time to make a batch or two. Packaged in little bags or jars, it makes a darling gift for teachers, neighbors, co-workers, or anyone youโ€™d like to remember with something sweet and festive. (The recipe includes two printable gift tags: one with ingredients and one without.)

2.) WORDS WORTH SHARING

3.) Finding Steady Ground

Every year, right about this time in December, I start to drag. I wonder how Iโ€™ll get everything finished in time, and I find myself waiting, sometimes not so patiently, for that second wind to appear. If this happens to you too, I completely understand. What helps me the most is taking a step back. Spend a day doing something completely unrelated to Christmas. It doesnโ€™t matter what it isโ€ฆjust give your mind a break from the โ€œto doโ€ list, even for a few hours. You may be surprised how much lighter everything feels once you return, and how that small pause can help you find your steady ground again.

4.) The Follow-Up File

Earlier this week, I sent a new printable to email subscribers featuring the first verse of โ€™Twas the Night Before Christmas. I styled it in the photo using a simple mat and frame, and a few of you asked if I had done that myself. I did, and the frame and mat come as a set, which makes it very easy. The frame is 11 ร— 14 inches with an 8 ร— 10 mat opening, so an 8ยฝ ร— 11 inch print fits perfectly when attached to the mat with basic clear tape. Iโ€™m sharing the link to the frame set in case youโ€™d like to recreate the look. If youโ€™re not currently an OSP email subscriber, or if you missed it in your inbox, you can sign up HERE to receive the printable.

5.) THINGS WORTH MENTIONING

  • Whatโ€™s ahead: on Saturday, I’ll be sending out two of my favorite holiday mocktail recipes. For A Sunday Well Spent, I’ve put together a collection of your most-loved Christmas posts on the blog. These are the ideas readers return to every yearโ€ฆeasy, beautiful, and very manageable during the busy week ahead.
  • What I shared last week: on Saturday, I shared a simple tradition that fills the house with the warm scents of citrus, spices, and evergreens. A small thing, but one that makes the season feel real. For A Sunday Well Spent, I sent my recipe for gingerbread, made into muffins. These muffins are filled with flavor, and sparkle with a simple sugar topping that feels old-fashioned and festive.

6.) A Note About The Weeks Ahead

After December 21, Iโ€™m going to slip away for a short while. Iโ€™ll be spending time with my family, slowing down a bit, and enjoying the final days of the holiday season. There wonโ€™t be any new content on the blog until after the New Year, and my emails will pause as well. The only exception is the digital calendars. Iโ€™ll still send those on Sunday, December 28th. I hope youโ€™ll also find a chance to rest, reset, unplug, and savor these quiet moments at the end of the year.
