Welcome to the first Christmas decor post for 2017! I’ve been thinking and planning for weeks…so I’m really happy that it’s finally time to share some new ideas with you. I promise that nothing will be over-the-top and everything will be affordable. I am reusing old decor that I’ve either refreshed or relocated to a different room. I couldn’t help myself and ended up buying a few new things, but on the whole, I am using what I have.

Easy Christmas Porch Decor Ideas

My inspiration for this year’s front porch decor are the pillows and throws I used in our guest room last year. The red and black just happened to work perfectly with my black planters and these Red Metal LED Lanterns from Kirkland’s.

These planters took less time and were easier than anything else I’ve ever done on the porch for Christmas. I’ll be back on Sunday with more details on how I put them together and a better look at the sitting area.

I’m pretty sure they will withstand a snow storm too! The lanterns are nestled inside the greenery and don’t move a bit. I never reinvent the wheel when it comes to my porch decor. Click {HERE} to see the process I use, season after season.

After the front porch, I moved inside to the entry. This year the Christmas touches are simple but festive with lovely pops of red. (I know that going neutral seems to be the thing to do…but I just can’t. At Christmas, I need some red!) I’ve had the evergreen garland for a long time, but each year I bring it out and fall in love all over again. I added an extra string of lights this year and it made such a difference. If you have older garland, that’s an easy way to refresh it and make it look new again.

I went with galvanized metal for the steps and the star of the show is this snowflake metal lantern. I think it adds the perfect wintery, farmhouse touch.
