Free Winter Chalkboard Printables | DIY Wall Art

I’m not sure what the weather is like in your neck of the woods, but I thought one more dose of winter decor would be nice. I’m sharing these three Free Winter Chalkboard Printables so you can make DIY wall art, a banner or use them for phone wallpaper or screensavers.

Free Winter Chalkboard Printables | DIY Wall Art | Winter Banner | Winter decor | Baby It's Cold Outside | Hello Winter | Walking in a Winter Wonderland I hadn’t done anything new in my entry frames since I made the DIY Pressed Flower Art last August. I quickly changed that out for last year’s Christmas printables in December so I was overdue for something completely different. Not sure what will replace this in the spring but I’ll come up with something!

Basket of vintage quilts | Free Winter Chalkboard Printables | DIY Wall Art | Winter Banner | Winter decor | Baby It's Cold Outside | Hello Winter | Walking in a Winter Wonderland There’s one little tip I want to share about printing chalkboard printables. When I printed these for the first time, I used white card stock. That resulted in the text and snowman being white. I have ivory mats so the white text looked a little “off.” I reprinted and used ivory cardstock which, in my opinion, looks much better.

For now, I am enjoying them in the basket but I bought them for the guest rooms upstairs. Hopefully, I’ll get the lead out and refresh those for spring as well.

  1. Hello Ann! I love your website already!! I especially love the printable and want to get frames for them, could you please tell me what size the printables are?
    Thank you so much!

    1. Ann Drake says:

      Hi Teresa!
The frames are 11 x 14 and the mat opening is 8 x 10. Enjoy your project!

  2. These winter printables are darling. I have a narrow wall just inside the door that goes from my butler’s pantry to a little stoop on the side of my house. Every once in a while, I find something cute and seasonal to put on that wall. My grandsons like to use that door to go in and outside, why…I don’t know. These prints hung one above the other will look so cute on that wall and the boys will especially LOVE the snowman print! Thank you for a nice winter perk up!

  3. Doris Raab says:

    Love the printables. Beautiful quilts.

  4. Kay Shive says:

Ann, you’ve been reading my mind. Just this morning I thought, what am I going to put in the frame on my door? And here you offered three prints for me to choose from. I decided on the “Baby, it’s cold outside.”
No, it’s not terribly cold here in the Chicago area but just wait . . .

  5. Gail Martin says:

Ann, I wish you could see what is still up in my foyer. The Christmas prints from 3 years ago. Holly Jolly and the other ones that go with it. My son asked if I was leaving them up all year. LOL I love these that you have posted. Perhaps I’ll change them after all.

  6. The framed prints look very nice
    in your entrance.

  7. Pat Stoughton says:

I like anything chalkboard and snowmen. So it is a hit with me!
Lucky you to find the blue quilts on Ebay.
I will look forward to their display in the guest room.

  10. I love the colors in those quilts! It will be fun to see what you do with them in your guest room. Enjoy your day! ;)

  11. Cindy Pierce says:

  12. Thank you. I always love your printables!!

  13. Love these prints…great idea to print on Ivory, not just to match the matting, but I think a softer look…

  14. So nice to see the new printables and the wonderful quilts…yummy! Your home is so organized and its built one brick (furniture and accessories) at a time. This makes it easy for homemakers to tackle their own homes.

  15. Love the snowman! With 40’s in MN sure won’t be makkng one outside any time soon!

  16. Good Morning Ann!
It’s so good to open your post this morning! For some reason I stopped receiving your posts in late November. I am a rather “technologically challenged” person, so i may have caused the problem myself. I finally subscribed all over again, but it took 2 tries. As I said previously, it’s probably something I did or did not do, & I’m just happy to hear from you again.
I look forward to your next post,
    Cindy

  17. Denise :) says:

That snowman is pretty darn cute (and probably the closest thing I’ll have to a real snowman this winter, based on our 70 degree temps this week).

What a SCORE on your beautiful quilts from ebay! I love a snuggly blue and white quilt!

Thanks for sharing with us! :)

  18. The printables are adorable, Ann:) Thank you! Hope all is well with you, and Happy New Year! I’m missing the snow right now, but something tells me “it’sa comin'”:D

  19. Love these! The only one that I could download however was the snowman.

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hi Kelly! I’m sorry for the trouble. I checked the links and couldn’t find a problem. Sometimes it’s a browser issue so I hope you give it another try. Thanks for letting me know…Ann

      1. You were correct! Browser issue! Thanks for pointing that out. Can’t wait to print these out and hang them! Love all your stuff!

  20. Love the snowman. It was 58 degrees here on Tuesday. I would rather look at that snowman than snow on the lawn.
