Magnolia Market Tips: How to Have a Lovely Day in Waco, TX. What you need to know to have a great day at the Silos, Magnolia Seed + Supply, Magnolia Table, and Silos Baking Co.

Most of the time, my weekends are no different than my weekdays. Last weekend, however, was so special that I had to share it with all of you. I went with my daughter to Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco, Texas. You know…the Fixer Upper place. Chip and Joanna Gaines are now a trademarked empire, but when you visit Magnolia Market, you feel like you’re their own special guest. It’s friendly, welcoming, and runs like a well-oiled machine. They have truly thought of everything. This post is going to be a combination of Magnolia Market tips (in case you want to go sometime) and my impressions of the day. We stayed in Dallas, so we got up early on Saturday morning and left our hotel by 7:30 a.m. We were in Waco before 9.

First Stop: Magnolia Table

Magnolia Market Tips: How to Have a Lovely Day in Waco, TX. What you need to know to have a great day at the Silos, Silos Bakery, Magnolia Seed & Supply, and Magnolia Table.

Our first stop of the day was the newest addition to the whole Magnolia experience. It’s called Magnolia Table and it’s a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. It’s about 10 minutes from the Silos and the building is on The National Register of Historic Places. Magnolia Table was our first impression and it did not disappoint. It’s the quintessential American diner with the Joanna Gaines touch. Everything was wonderful…from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere.

Magnolia Table Tip:

Make sure to order the biscuits and strawberry butter!

Second Stop: Harp Design Co.

If you watch Fixer Upper, you know that Clint Harp is a big part of the show. He has a small shop that’s right next door to his own fixer upper. He doesn’t live there anymore, but he still owns the house and it’s available to rent on Airbnb. His shop is small but has darling stuff. Mostly gift items like cutting boards, letters, and other home decor. I bought one of his signature wooden candlesticks that are hand-turned right there in his shop.

Magnolia Market Waco Tips: Get an early start.

Like most places that attract tourists, there are lines. Getting an early start helps eliminate some of the waiting time. As the day progressed, we noticed that the crowds got bigger and the lines got longer.

Third Stop: Magnolia Market Waco TX

For some reason, I thought the Silos were out in the middle of a field. Well, they are not. The silos, market and bakery are on a street corner right in Waco. Another misconception that I had was that the market was in the silos. There is actually nothing in the silos…they just serve as a backdrop to the green space and food trucks. The market is in the grain barn pictured below.

There are no shopping carts, but grab a shopping bag!

The market was crowded, so we just took our time and went slowly. Most of the home decor items are in the front section, and the souvenir items are in the back (pictured below.) There are hats, tshirts, tote bags, mugs, and just about everything else you can think of.

The home decor was displayed in “rooms” that look like they came right out of a Fixer Upper show. There was a kitchen area and a dining area…and the corner pictured below that looked like a living room.

I had given myself a budget of $150 for the market…and I got everything I wanted for just a little less than that, which I thought was pretty good. (It’s hard to stick to a budget in a place like this!)

Fourth Stop: Silos Baking Co.

As you can see from the picture above, the bakery is small and the line was outside and down the block. I was expecting a long wait but that didn’t happen. We were a block down the street but got inside in less than 30 minutes. It’s all very organized and their ordering system is brilliant. Our big purchase was cupcakes, with a couple of cookies added at the last minute.

Magnolia Market Tips: Parking.

We had the best luck when it came to parking. There is a parking lot at the silos and also parking away from the silos that is serviced by a trolley. The trolley didn’t really appeal to us so we decided to take our chances and try to park at the silos. There is a church parking lot on the corner (S. 6th Street and Webster Ave.) beside the bakery. (I don’t know if it’s open during the week, but it was open when we were there which was a Saturday.) We paid $10 to park but I would have paid twice that…because we were literally right beside the bakery.

Fifth Stop: Magnolia Seed + Supply

The seed + supply store is small, but had items not found in the market. They have their own little tote bag which I could not resist, and other garden-inspired gift items. There is a garden in front of the shop that has raised beds and is similar to the garden at Magnolia Farms.

Magnolia Market Tips: Military discount.

At the restaurant, market, bakery and seed + supply shop, we were asked if we were a military family. We are not, but if you are, you will receive a 10 % discount on your purchases.

I am most comfortable at home, and for me, traveling isn’t easy. This weekend away was so good for me and I am thankful for the opportunity. The thing I am most thankful for is that I got to experience this day with my daughter. The trip was her idea and when she asked me, I didn’t hesitate to say yes for even a minute. If one of my kids wants to spend time with me, there is no way I would say no…even if it means flying home by myself! (Elizabeth hooked our weekend to a business trip so she stayed in Dallas.) Anyway, as much as I like my comfort zone, I know it’s good for me to step out of it occasionally. I was nervous before I left, but as soon as the trip was underway, I relaxed and had fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for hanging in there with me…I know this was longer than a normal post. If you never plan to go to Magnolia Market, Waco, TX, I hope this virtual trip was enjoyable. If you do, I hope the tips and information will help make it a lovely day.

Until next time…

    Hi Ann
Thank you for posting about Magnolia! I am a fan of their show and watched the episode when they purchased the Silos! Knowing them I would agree that everything was very organized. It’s great that you got to spend time with your daughter!my only child (daughter) lives in Australia, so I can understand when you said that you would never refused time spent with your kids.
Thank you for all of your tips. It looked like you both had a wonderful time.

  18. What a special day for you and your daughter! Thanks so much for the tips as I’d love to make the trip to Waco this Spring.

  19. Rebecca Turner says:

I am in Waco, right now, this weekend, with my daughter (her idea) and granddaughter, as well as one of my sisters for “Spring at The Silos.”(& St Patricks Day!) It’s Springbreak in Texas and most of us apparently flocked to Magnolia. A checker at a local CVS pharmacy told me that she’d heard (presumably on the news) that they were expecting over a hundred thousand people this weekend, to visit Magnolia. It’s not hard to believe, judging by the crowds. This is my third time visiting, and my second time being there when they had the streets blocked off for street vendors and food trucks. It’s a lot of fun! I’ve been looking forward to sinking my teeth into a red velvet cupcake since I had one last year, but I was disappointed to learn that they’d removed it from the menu at the bakery. I was told that it’s now a seasonal item. Maybe next time? It was THE BEST cupcake I’ve ever eaten! The one thing though that “Magnolia” needs more of are Restrooms!!!

  20. Karla Secord says:

Thank you so much for this. I enjoyed it greatly. You and your daughter are so cute. I totally understand what you mean about your comfort zone. ☺️
My husband and sister and I went to Magnolia Market two years ago. It was very new and HOT! I wouldn’t recommend going in May. I was born in Texas, but live in California and we were not used to the heat and humidity. Still we had so much fun! Loved every minute of it. The bakery and garden shop were not quite ready to open when we were there so we will have to go again for sure. All your tips were very helpful.

  21. Thanks for this inspiration Ann. My daughters, daughter in law, my sister and adult granddaughters are going to experience Waco this fall! We have rented a Fixer Upper house. Can’t wait!

  22. Rose Carey says:

    What a lovely post Ann!

  23. Thankful Im in Texas! I’ve had the privilege of visiting Magnolia Market several times. Love Waco, great city!

  24. Diane Granic says:

Thanks so much for all the tips! I have wondered about the experience, and you gave us great insights! But most of all I appreciate that you shared that you went outside your comfort level! It’s good to know that I am not the only one that has to FORCE myself to leave home! Lots of times I’ve planned things and canceled at the last minute just because I’d rather stay home and putter where I’m comfortable. But I’m with you 100%–if my kids ask, I’m in!

  25. Happy for you. Sounds great!

  26. I enjoyed this post. Thank you so much for sharing!

  27. Thank you so much for sharing your trip to Waco with us. It’s on my bucket list. I devour every episode of Fixer Upper (several times each) and love Joanna’s Magnolia magazine. A friend of mine visited the Silos recently as well and also talked about the crowds, but it would be so worth the wait(s). Your pictures were great and those and your article gave us a great insight as we, hopefully, plan a trip in the not too far future.
    So fun!

  28. Ann,
Your posts are always just right. So easy on the eyes, a treat, in fact, with useful info without rambling on. What a lovely day you had. It makes me want to go. And just maybe someday, I will leave my comfort zone and go see it too! Thanks for sharing such great info with lovely pictures,

Thank you for the insightful information for whenever that time comes that I may get to venture out that way from northern Indiana (driving, since hubby won’t fly). My neighbors have drove out there 2 or 3 times to see it, and I’m guessing they probably will again soon. Lol I love hearing details about how much things cost, even if those prices may change over time, it’s a starting point, along with recommendations at restaurants. Now I’m off to click on the links included! :-)

  39. Wow. What a wonderful trip. And to experience it with your daughter—Perfect. Your pictures and information are great. Can’t wait to see what your $150.00 purchased. I am so glad you got to go. Thanks for sharing

Hi Ann. I was fortunate enough to visit Waco a few weeks ago too! Loved every minute of it. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Wish I had had enough time to visit some historical points of interest in and around Waco such as the Texas Rangers Museum. Glad you had fun with your daughter.

  41. Good for you Ann! I’m so glad you enjoyed your visit and had the added pleasure of your daughter’s company. I’m envious!

  43. What a lovely way to spend the day with your daughter. I am hoping to get to Waco and the Magnolia Market when we drive to San Antonio to visit friends. I really appreciate your helpful tips and I plan on saving this post. I don’t like being away from home because of sleeping issues and missing my cat, but I do like seeing other parts of the country, so I hope to do more traveling in the future.

  44. Thanks for all the info Ann. I, too, hope to get there in the not-too-distant future and your tips will help. :) Loved the photos too.

  45. Ann! I recently had the same lovely invite from our oldest daughter ~ for my birthday! We “met in the middle,” between my home, Dallas, and Austin, hers! The opportunity to visit was the highlight of my day, but we enjoyed the trip and seeing Magnolia together very much! It was early on, so the Bakery, the Garden and Seed Market were not yet open, nor was the recently completed restaurant! There was still lots to see, and we had lunch and even found another shopping spot (or two!) around town! It’s fun to see it now, because even on a second visit/road trip with two friends, still not everything was open. More reasons for a third visit, right?! Your pictures are great, btw (I also have an iPhone 8 now, and hope my shots will prove to be as wonderful as yours). Thanks for this lovely “tour!”
p.s. I was treated to a lovely bouquet of faux, but very life-like, magnolias from the shop ~ a very fitting souvenir … !

  55. I’m so glad you went Ann! I went with my daughter, daughter-in-law and granddaughter at Christmas. I live in Tennessee and of course have been watching Fixer Upper from the beginning and dearly love Chip and Joanna – how could you not? I found the same experience as you in that everyone was so friendly and seem to love what they do and treat everyone so sweetly. I encourage everyone to go if they can. I really believe this young couple are a breath of fresh air and a blessing to our country.

  56. You made me want to go and have the same great experience! Glad you enjoyed it with your daughter! I hope I can go someday!

  61. Hi Ann, I was just at Magnolia Farms on Thursday and I have to say your pics have a bigger crowd. My sister has just moved to Plano and I was there to help her unpack. We took the day and drove down. We also had my 1 year old great neice with us. She didn’t really enjoy the trip but we did! I didn’t know the restaurant was opened and because we had the baby with us, we didn’t really explore the town. Im looking forward to a return trip with just grownups! It is absolutely worth the trip!

  62. What fun! I would love to visit there too. I also love spending time with my daughters. Thank you for sharing your trip.

  63. Thank you for sharing. I’d love to go with my daughter, maybe one day!

  67. Pam Bradshaw says:

Oh Ann what an awesome getaway!!! I appreciate you taking time to give us a wonderful tour of all the Magnolia places. I would love to go there. It’s on my list of places I want to visit. Maybe you can do a post and share all your purchases with us. Would love to see the treasures you found. Making memories with your daughter made it extra special. Again, Thank You. 😍

  68. I have been to the Silo’s twice and your description is spot on! We found a store that was down the street, the opposite direction from the Church parking, that let us continue to park in front of their store to go to The Magnolia Silo’s. I asked for prior permission. I think the name of the store is The Findery. They had beautiful farmhouse things at reasonable prices.

  69. I would love to go to with a very good friend of mine. Great pictures! It looks like you had a wonderful time!

  70. Thanks so much, Ann! I hadn’t thought of ever going to Magnolia Market, but your post makes me want to reconsider. I’m so glad you had a wonderful day with your daughter.

  71. I loved this post on Magnolia. I hope I can visit there one day in the not to distant future. I live in New York but have family in Oklahoma. I think a weekend trip with my Daughters would be wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing your trip and tips.

  73. Loved it ! Very helpful!!

  74. Barbara FOUNTAIN says:

I have been to the Magnolia market, etc. Much fun.
You did not mention the food trucks that are on the grounds. Easy way to get your lunch.

  75. Laura- Belle Baxter says:

I’m so glad you got to see the Magnolia operation at the Silos! Isn’t it an amazing experience!
I was invited by my adult step daughters to join them there for Silo-brat-ion2017! And you’ve done a great job of describing the experience! ( I come from the middle of the Canadian prairies so it was a whole new world to see the south in October!).
Mostly- I have been impressed with the finely honed marketing – by the Gaines’- which has created this experience! There is no part of your senses which is left untouched! And the costumer service is exemplary- as it aught to be – everywhere!!!
We all can take a page out of their book if we are attempting to market or sell ANYTHING!
Like you- I had this experience because I was invited- but I learned so much as I observed!
This is not my style of decorating- I have lived with old farm stuff for my entire life- – and repurposing farm items that are for the critters- is not my thing personally. That said- I’m impressed that folks are embracing the trend and maybe what I’ve had my entire life will now place me at the front af a decorating movement ? Ha!
And finally- I’m glad you got to spend time with your girl in such an upbeat environment, seeing and learning new stuff together! Kudos to you for stepping out if you comfort zone ! Thanks for sharing your experience- I’m wishing I’d known more before I got to the silos !
    Cheers!

I enjoyed my trip while living vicariously through you; thanx for the update!

  80. Great photos and enjoyed your post very informative, Waco is on my list to go this year. So glad you had the time with your daughter and made shared memories.

  81. Patricia Cesario says:

Thank you for allowing me to tag along on you trip to Magnolia Market/Waco. It’s not likely I will ever visit so your personal tour is a real treat. Most of all I enjoy your website and all your creativity. Elegant, simple, classy and always the best in taste. I’m a real fan.

  82. Thank you so much for sharing your trip to Waco with us and for all the pictures. I am a huge fan of Fixer Upper and really enjoyed hearing about your trip and seeing the photos.

  83. Barbie Bertke says:

Oh Ann how wonderful! I love Fixer Upper. Would love to go to Waco sometime. Isn’t it strange how much we change as we age. When I was younger, and really up until I retired I considered myself very outgoing. Now, I have to talk myself into leaving the house. I am glad you left your comfort zone, because it looks like you and Elizabeth had a great time.

    1. I have gotten the same way since I retired. As part of my job life I traveled all over the US and to a couple of foreign countries but now I have turned into a total homebody. Glad it isn’t just me.

  84. I really enjoyed your picture tour. Always fun to go with your daughter. Now I’m thinking about planning a trip. We’re in California so not too far. Thanks

  85. Barbara Burrus says:

Thank you for this amazing post. So glad you were able to step out of your comfort zone and enjoy the day with your daughter. I hope to see Waco one day and will take your tips with me.

  86. I enjoyed your photos and tips. Not sure that I will ever go because I am not one who likes crowds. It makes me feel better when somebody else mentions that they are out of their comfort zone as they travel. I used to travel frequently and loved it but as I have advanced to my 58 years, I find that I much prefer to be at home!

  87. Ann,
You and your daughter are lovely. I couldn’t agree more, spending time with a daughter is always a blessing! What a lovely place to share time together!

  88. Ann, you and your daughter ae so lovely. Thank you for sharing this fun experience with all of us.

  89. Colleen Howell says:

lovely, I hope to go one day but that is still a long way into the future. Loved all the pictures and tips.

  90. Being a native Texan who moved away from many years ago, I hope the bluebonnets were in bloom & that you got to see some while you were there! I’ll miss the bluebonnets scenes most when Fixed Upper ends.

  91. Patricia Davis says:

Thanks for the virtual trip, Ann. I have heard a lot about Magnolia Market, so it is great to put your photos with a name. Glad you had fun and I look forward to seeing things you bought appear in your future posts! 😀

  92. Melissa Houston says:

How much fun! Thank you for sharing your trip with us. Like you, home is my comfort zone and I don’t step out of it to travel very often. I’m always glad when I do. Thank you for providing a virtual trip of places that are very interesting to the do it yourselfer decorators and the HGTV fans of the Gaines’s!

  93. Ann,
I enjoyed your post about your trip and know that time spent with one’s children is a gift. Sounds like a great trip.
I have recently taken advantage of your free printables and I am so pleased with the results. I am not the most computer snazzy person, but it it was so easy. Now I am hooked on these sweet prints. Thanks so much.

  94. Thanks for sharing, Ann. It was great seeing the place first hand. Looks like you had a great time!

  95. Looks like you had a awesome time. I went just before the Christmas season started, I had an awesome time . Hoping to go again.

  96. So glad you took the trip with your daughter. Special memories for you both. Enjoyed reading about your trip and seeing the the pictures you took. Thank you for sharing.

  97. I enjoyed this post, so much! I would love a follow up that includes pics of your purchases! You & your daughter are just darling-great photos & great memories for you both.

  98. Dixie Paglia says:

What a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing your tips. Anytime we are able to spend time with our adult children is a blessing. Glad you had a great time.

  99. Ann,
I’m so happy that you were able to visit Waco & all things Magnolia! Wish I had known you were coming & I could have given you a personal tour of our lovely city.
BTW your blog is the only one I consistently read. Thanks for all you do to brighten our day!

  100. I am so glad I have met you..this is the first time I felt moved to comment ..I think we have much in common
You have made me want to visit Waco!

  101. Dixie Paglia says:

What a fun experience. Thank you for sharing. I also believe anytime spent with ones children is time well spent. I always enjoy your blog posts.

  102. This was not too long and I read every word and studied each photo. Your blog is one of my favorites (I only have 2 favs) and you could never write “too long” for me.

So glad you had a great time. And you flew alone. As a newish (2-year) widow, I finally ventured out yesterday to the Philadelphia Flower Show, something both hubby and I did together. Went on a bus ride and totally alone. I feel like a big girl now. So you’re a big girl too now!

Thanks for being you. P.S. Your daughter is beautiful!

  103. Thank you for sharing your trip. I would like to visit Waco/Magnolia market but felt the crowds would be overwhelming. I just might try it now after your experience. Thank you !

  104. Nan, Odessa, DE says:

Thank you for sharing and the pictures!
Your post will be my only trip to Waco.
I enjoy the show and am happy for the Gaines’ success.

    Where is your next trip?

    Have a great week!

  105. Thanks for the tips. Magnolia Market is not on my bucket list…but who knows, if I’m ever in the area? I think it’s remarkable what they have done. I hope you are going to show us what you purchased! ;)

  106. Ricki Jill Treleaven says:

I would love to take a road trip with my daughters to Waco and all things Magnolia. I enjoyed your photos and tips! I’ve bookmarked this just in case we visit this summer. Super post, Ann!

  107. Christine says:

Thank you for sharing your trip and tips! I do plan to go sometime!! My husband was in Dallas for business and drove down and bought me a baseball cap!! My new yard work hat!!

  108. Susan Cecere says:

Your trip sound’s amazing. I would love to get to Silo’s myself. Everything is so green and the tulips are in bloom. We still have snow and are expecting more. Thanks for sharing your trip.

  109. Just curious if there is anything else to see in Waco besides Magnolia.

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hi Harriet! One of my readers over on Instagram mentioned a place called The Findery. We didn’t know about it but she highly recommended it. Now I want to go back!

      1. Thank you! I love that your daughter arranged this trip for the two of you. By the way, I just started sewing again after many years and have appreciated the tips on your site regarding everything from the best iron to perfectly finished seams.

    2. Brenda F-O says:

Visited my daughter in Austin this past December and we did a daytrip to Waco. Enjoyed a rest stop at Buc-cees halfway there. Loved everything Magnolia, especially the delicious cupcakes! Then we shopped for hours at Spice Market down a couple blocks from the Silos. I was in heaven wandering the over 50 boutiques, most with handcrafted goods. Nothing like that in Hawaii except our seasonal craft fairs. Can’t wait to try the Table. Mahalo, thank you, Ann, for sharing your wonderful mother/daughter visit to Magnolia.

    3. Go to Spice Village….it’s not about spices, though! It’s a great shopping destination in Waco. Homemade goodies, clothes, candles, jewelry, home decor, etc. It’s a huge building subdivided by booths. Google Waco. There’s lots to do. I visited Some of the antique shops that Chip and Joanna showcase on their show. I was super excited to actually see and even talk with Chip!!! He was there shooting a segment for the show. He was so friendly and even offered to take a selfie with me!!

      1. Kudos to the Gaines as they seem to have revitalized Waco all on their own! I will miss their show but can be inspired by their magazine.

    4. Oh yes!

The Baylor University campus alone offers so much, from live bears in a wonderful habitat to the Armstrong Browning Library, gorgeous architecture and a huge collection of the works of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Check at the Hooper Schaefer Theater to see if Baylor’s acclaimed theater department has a current play to see. One of my daughters is a professional actor who is a graduate of that theater department and it is top notch. Like music? See if there is a concert by any of the Baylor choirs. And if there’s a sports fan in your group check out any of the sports teams at Baylor. Many of the teams are nationally ranked.and the stadiums and facilities are top notch.

The Mayborn Museum on the Baylor campus offers a great variety of exhibits. Elsewhere there is the Texas Sports Hall of Fame and the Dr Pepper museum. The Cameron Park Zoo is popular, too.

And like others have said, fun shopping at Spice and other shops downtown. Plenty of good places to eat throughout Waco, too.

  110. Ann, what a sweet post! Spending time with your daughter and having such a good time. It seems everything Chip and Joanna does is well done and well run. Thank you for sharing!

  111. Oh Ann,what a fabulous trip,a dream of mine is to go to Magnolia Markets too.Your pictures are beautiful and spending time with your daughter is priceless.I understand the anxiety of traveling and not wanting to venture out, I feel the same way.I’m glad you ventured out and made the trip.

  112. Ellen Sorce says:

What a lovely weekend you had. Thank you for the tips. Adding it to my bucket list.

  113. Hi Ann,
Thank you so much for your post and all the details. It couldn’t have been more timely as I’m going in May with my cousin as a 60 th birthday gift from my daughters!

All the tips were so great, thank you so much. You’ve just heightened my excitement 100%!!!

    1. Ann Drake says:

Oh I’m so glad! Enjoy every minute. :)

  114. what a lovely post, would love to visit myself- might just have to schedule one now! thanks for sharing

  115. It was so exciting to see the Magnolia enterprise from a perspective that was captured by a tourist and not a push from a magazine. I am amazed at the blooming development of the Gaines’ simple idea of home improvement. Thank you for posting your trip. It was a delight to see it! I was wondering if you visited all the shops in one day? Thank you again!

    1. Ann Drake says:

Hi Bree…yes, you can do all the Magnolia stuff easily in one day. If you plan to do other things in Waco, you would need to add a day or two to the trip.

  116. Betty Lou says:

Thank you Ann for taking us along on your trip to Magnolia, such a wonderful adventure to share with your daughter. I’m a Magnolia groupie and the Silos are on my Bucket List also. Think I will talk to my son and see if he would like to go some weekend. He just bought a new house and asked me to take him to that place where I bought all that neat stuff for the house—— Home Goods. We went two weeks ago and had a great time. Spending adult time with your children is definitely one of the perks of getting old.

  117. Jeanette Duke says:

So very happy you went and I hope I can also make that trip one day. Yes, and one of the best things of the whole trip was spending time with your daughter. I think I will mention this to my daughter and see if we can get a group to go. Glad you had fun! By the way you and your daughter look lovely! 🌷

  118. Waco is a fun place, fortunately I live an hour away, and can visit quite often. Your pics and details are great, thanks for sharing.

  119. I am ever so glad you took the trip! I would love to visit the Magnolia Esperience and with your information I may just get there! You tempted your readers with just the right amount of info!

  129. Thank you for sharing. It is #1 on my bucket list but if I never get there your visit has helped me to see it. My comfort zone is home also so I understood that part very well. I used to live in Dallas years ago. To realize I was only a couple of hours away makes me miss TX even more! Thank you so much for your post today.

  130. Dear Ann~
This is on my bucket list for sure.
I hope to go one day with my sister, we watch the show together via phone. She lives in PAvand I in NY, but we laugh and love doing this together.
You gave me such good inside. Like you I thought the silos were where the shops were.
I’m so glad you had a great time with your daughter. I know what you mean when you get to spend time with her. Both my girls live in CA so when I get to spend time with them it’s the best.
    Have a lovely day.
    Much love,

  131. Thanks that was very interesting, someday I may get to go. I too do not travel because of anxiety.so it was very nice to see how it functions,

Love that you are wearing a tunic and leggings – I’ve bought some through J. Jill, too, after your recommendations. Keep up the good work, Ann.

  141. Ann,
I loved your post!! I could have written your last paragraph…”let’s stay home” ,is my favorite saying BUT a mother-daughter weekend is a special opportunity. What a nice thought from your daughter.
I would love to go there. Thanks for the travel tips. I hope I can use them someday with my daughter!

  142. This is a destination for me as well. As soon as possible I plan to pack up the motor home and head down there from Pa! I will be on the road a while and would like to do it in early Spring…maybe next year. You have confirmed my plans! (husband will thank you!)

  143. I feel like I’ve been to Waco. You have a wonderful way of sharing. I’m so proud for you that you made this trip with your daughter. Makes precious memories that you will always have.

Joanna and chip are always fun to watch and and a great way of presenting great ideas.

It’s good to get out of our comfort zone. It helps build our character. And my personal philosophy is life is the real play and no more practices.so enjoy.
