Discover simple home decor ideas, style tips, and seasonal inspiration through The Curated Life…your guide to living beautifully every day.

March feels like a fresh page. The light lingers a little longer each evening, and on March 20th we welcome the first day of spring. That alone gives us something to look forward to. No matter what is happening beyond our doors, daily life continues. Meals still need to be made. Homes still need tending. Small touches still make a difference. I hope this space feels steady and encouraging. A quiet pause in the middle of everything else. A reminder that simple things still matter.

1.) A SIMPLER WAY
The picture ledge over our living room sofa was actually a housewarming gift, and it turned out to be the perfect solution for a wall that had completely stumped me. I knew the space needed something, but I couldn’t quite figure out what would feel right. The ledge gave me a simple starting point, and over time it has become one of my favorite features in the room.

Every piece on it has a story. The little apple print hung in my mom’s sitting room for as long as I can remember, and several of the framed prints were either gifts or handed down from family. The small square prints of London landmarks came from a family trip we took years ago. What I love most is how easy it is to change things up. I can switch out frames seasonally or whenever I want a fresh look. It’s simple, flexible, and something that has slowly come together over time. (I do have more plans for this enormous wall, so stay tuned. We have this similar, more budget-friendly picture ledge in our bedroom.)

2.) A Quiet Reminder
Even if you don’t have everything figured out, life can still be good. I seem to exist in that universe most of the time, and I’m slowly learning that it’s perfectly OK. I have to remind myself that I don’t need to move at a rushed pace or follow someone else’s timeline. If I’m tired, it doesn’t mean I’m failing. It usually just means I had a challenging day and I’ve earned a little grace.
Progress sometimes feels slow, but it often shows up in the steady rhythm of everyday life. Take a break when you need to, and don’t be afraid it will slow your growth. Sometimes rest is exactly what allows us to keep going. Small steps forward are enough for now.

3.) mY mOST aSKED aBOUT Finds
- One of the most popular items we’ve ever posted on Instagram was this cute bunny holding a carrot. You can make a bunny nest, or simply place him on a table or mantel. He really is so cute.
- My dough bowl is one of my most treasured pieces, and every time I share a picture of it, there are questions. It’s a reproduction that looks authentic. It fits nearly every decor style, and it’s a classic accessory you can use year-round.
- My coffee table/ottoman is definitely a look-for-less find. I originally spotted something very similar that was completely out of my price range, but I didn’t give up. After a little searching, I finally found one that had the same style and feel for much less money. It’s a good reminder that when you love something but the price isn’t quite right, it’s worth taking the time to look around. Often there’s a very similar option waiting to be discovered.
- These tulip liners are absolutely the best, and I love that you all are so curious about them. They simplify the muffin-making process and elevate the end result.
- Even though I only have one ice cream recipe on my site, I get a surprising number of questions about the ice cream maker. It’s made by Cuisinart, and it is so simple to use. It makes the perfect amount, and it’s a fun thing to do with kids.

4.) Gather & Savor:
I am always working in the background trying to improve my categories and site organization. I recently put together a new page for all my quick bread recipes. It’s a small collection, but worth taking a look. You just might find something new!

5.) THINGS WORTH MENTIONING
- What You Might Have Missed: on Saturday for This Time of Year I put together all my box cake mix tips, along with a pretty blue and white tablescape. On Sunday, I shared a collection of reasons why Mason Jars Are Still Worth Keeping.
- Coming This Weekend: I’m working on a new small batch chocolate chip cookie bar recipe, there will be kitchen ideas that don’t require a renovation, and we’ll take a look back at our screened in porch on Sutton Place.
- My husband and I just returned from a week in Florida where we spent time with friends and enjoyed a little sunshine. It was such a nice break from the gray skies at home, but even so, it always feels good to walk back through the door and settle in again. Wishing you all a lovely week. XO
