How to prepare burlap and then cut it so it’s totally straight,
plus 3 DIY burlap table runners that anyone can do.
No sewing required!
I was pretty late to the burlap party. DIY enthusiasts and decorators were using it years before I ever even considered giving it a try. It took me a while to warm up to burlap and appreciate all its good qualities. It’s neutral in color, really budget-friendly (as in cheap,) and if prepared properly, it’s easy to work with. Today I’m sharing all I know about burlap and that includes three different table runners that you can make for your own home. The first order of business is to learn how to prepare burlap and that includes how to wash it, dry it and cut it. Click HERE for a complete tutorial on how to do it all.
Next are three burlap table runners that are different levels of difficulty. The simplest one by far is an easy, no-sew table runner that anyone can make because all you need are scissors and some burlap. Click HERE to see what I mean.
The second runner has that special charm that happens when you add ruffles to anything…and it’s no-sew like the first one. Click HERE for all the scoop.
The third burlap table runner is actually one of my favorite projects ever. I have used this DIY Burlap Table Runner with Tassels regularly since I made it. Every time I put it on my table, I am amazed at the texture and interest it adds. It’s a bit more involved than the other two table runners but definitely worth the extra effort!
Thank you so much for stopping by…and I’ll see you soon. Now it’s time for my farmhouse friends to share their own DIY tips and tricks. Stop by and say hi!
