Festive Pillows
In my opinion, pillows are the secret weapon for adding seasonal touches to your decor. Simply swapping in pillows that reflect the colors and themes of the season can instantly refresh your living spaces. The best part? You don’t need to replace every pillow in the room. Just switching out one or two is quick and effortless, yet makes a big impact. For Valentine’s Day, think soft pinks, vibrant reds, or even neutral tones with heart or floral accents. It’s such an easy way to create a cozy, festive vibe without breaking the bank.

Pink or Red Fresh Flowers
By the time Valentine’s Day rolls around, I’m already dreaming of spring and all the warmth and color it brings. One of the easiest ways to bring a touch of spring into your home is with fresh flowers. Whether you prefer roses, tulips, or something more unexpected, treat yourself to a bouquet in shades of red, pink, or even soft pastels. Not only do they add a vibrant, cheerful touch to your space, but they’re also a simple way to brighten your mood during the last weeks of winter.

Faux Flowers Work Too!
I received a request for tips on recreating the arrangement pictured above using faux flowers, and I thought it was a wonderful idea! Here’s what you’ll need:
- Cream or white roses (about 5)
- Pink rose buds (about 5)
- White Veronica (3)
- Magenta or purple tiny blooms
- Pink cherry blossoms
- White/cream pitcher (My pitcher is 9 inches tall.)
Start by arranging the cream roses and pink rosebuds as the base. Using wire cutters, snip the roses so they vary in height. Next, place the cherry blossoms on either side of the pitcher for a balanced look. Fill in any gaps with the small magenta blooms, then finish by adding the white Veronica stems in the center, allowing them to extend gracefully from the top. Be sure both sides of the pitcher are visually balanced.

Valentine’s Day Printables
Printable wall art is an easy, budget-friendly (and sometimes free!) way to update your decor for the seasons. I love using a set of three black frames in my home, rotating the artwork regularly to keep things fresh and fun. Switching out the mats every now and then adds even more variety. If you’re short on wall space, don’t worry—there are plenty of creative alternatives! Try layering a frame on a bookshelf or propping one up on a small easel for a charming display.
