DIY No Sew Valentine LOVE Pillow Cover

Now that Christmas is behind us and things are somewhat back to normal, I want to share an easy and really fun craft for Valentine’s Day. This just might be the (dare I say it?) cheapest project I have ever done. Even I was shocked at the final price tag. This DIY No Sew Valentine LOVE pillow cover came in just under $5.00. It wasn’t hard at all and turned out way better than I had hoped! On to the tutorial…

1. What you need: a pillow cover and 2 pieces of Peel and Stick Craft Felt. I got my pillow cover at Hobby Lobby. It was $3.99 and I used a 40% off coupon. The pieces of felt were a buck a piece. (Also from Hobby Lobby.) If you already have a pillow cover and don’t mind sticking letters on it, by all means use it.

2. Print your letter templates. I found a site called Free Alphabet Stencils. Here is the page for the Typewriter Font Alphabet. Right click on the letters and save to your files. Then just open the file and print. You can use your print program to size them to fit your pillow cover. Carefully cut the letters out.

3. Trace the letters on the back of the peel and stick felt. Make sure and turn the “E” and the “L” over so they aren’t backwards. For the “O” and the “V” it doesn’t matter.

4. Cut out your felt letters. Lay them out on your pillow cover so you can get the spacing correct. One at a time, peel the back off the letters and press to the fabric.

I made this a few days ago and just for the heck of it, I tried to take one of the letters off. It came up very easily and did not leave a mark. I don’t guarantee that across the board, but it worked for me.

I made another easy heart pillow last year if you want a different option. It was an Anthropologie knock off called The Heart Collector Pillow. This one had a little more cutting and took some time but was just as fun.

Ohio is in a bit of a deep freeze but thankfully we haven’t had much snow. My thoughts go out to the people in NY and PA who are getting slammed once again by Old Man Winter. Please take care…I’ll see you soon!
