I’ve been waiting and waiting…and waiting some more. What for?
The sun.
I’ve had my monogrammed valentine’s wreath on my door for over a week but have not ventured out to shoot any photos because the skies have been grey and dull.
I finally had to just go for it.
These pics are OK for now but I’ll be back with better ones when I show you the sitting area.
At least I hope they are better…
Here’s where this wreath started. It was the first wreath I made after painting my front door blue. If you want to read more about the story of my house, I talk about it in this post.
I took out the all the blue flowers…and made use of them in my silver pitcher.
I added some little red flowers and a grain sack heart.
I’ve had the wood monogram forever…at least over a year but never had the right wreath or basket to use it. Honestly, I had forgotten about it. When I was looking for the red flowers, there it was and it was like I had hit the jack-pot. I gave it a quick coat of Annie Sloan Old White and wired it on.
As luck would have it the sun is shining as I write this and the skies are clear. It’s freezing though so I’m not sure I’ll get outside for those pics I promised. I hope the skies are blue where you are…see you soon!

i love February – for this very reason – hearts, decorative decor – it’s all so fun!! love it!! ( :
Gorgeous. You have such a knack!
I love how you reused that wreath! Adding the little heart and monogram (which is my monogram too) makes it have so much personality. Sounds like you’re having the same weather as we have here today. It’s very cold, but dry and sunny. Bundle up!
Your wreath is so beautiful! I love it.
Debbie :)
Can I purchase a wreath just like yours?? I love it!
Beautiful front door wreath! I just added my 1980′s neighborhood craft Valentine material heart to our front door this morning. There were close to 8 members back then and we made so many neat items. How time flies by!
Ann….I absolutely LOVE your wreath- It is just perfect for your February door- xo Diana
Ann this is just gorgeous. Seriously beautiful!
Your wreath is beautiful Ann! I love the monogram.
I was out early this morning, taking a picture of the back porch. We are in the middle of a project. It was 8 degrees and the sun was shining. For the rest of the photos, I stayed indoors and took pictures through the closed door.:-)
How beautiful and I love the monogram but I’m especially fond of your little grain sack heart….so sweet! It’s sunny and daytime high today was just above zero…spring can’t come soon enough for me! xo, Kimbelry
Very Sweet! Looks like you are getting all set for the month of LOVE!!

Looks very inviting Ann! Love the big initial!
Ann, that was such a great idea to paint the initial Old White because it really stands out against your beautiful blue door! And of course I adore that grain sack heart! We’ve had some grey days lately, too, and lots of wind. But today we had sunshine, but it was very cold for South Carolina. I’m yearning for spring, too!
Ann, your wreath is so cute. I love it. It’s colder than a can of kraut here, it’s just miserable, so I know what you mean. 6 degrees this morning! Brrrrrrrrrrrr, I’m so ready for Spring, have a wonderful weekend.
Very pretty. Hope you are well.
Love it! Where can I get the heart and where did you find the monogram piece?
Beautiful wreath…love the monogram!!
~Cindy

Anne, it turned out very nice, enjoy I t!
Your wreath is beautiful! I think I shall make myself a heart today and add it to the wreath for my front door, but I need more flowers first. My Christmas wreath is still on my door, I live on Christmas lane, all of the Christmas lights are still burning on my street every night, I love it!
The monogram makes it especially nice!
Hugs, Cindy
Hey lady! Saw your wreath on Hometalk! So, I had to stop by and see it and PIN it! It is beautiful. You make wreaths just like I love them! Soft, airy, and DREAMY! Great job!

Just love the wreath!
And I am newly in love with Matelasse and am reworking my bedroom around a coverlet I found at Tuesday Morning and a new iron bed ordered from Wesley Allen. Your site has provided lots of inspiration for new pillows to go on the bed!
I thought I had signed up to received emails announcing new posts, but I don’t seem to be getting them. Can you help me got on that list?!?!
Thanks!
oh that looks so very pretty Ann! I love the heart and the monogram is the perfect touch.
