I’m not really sure when my love affair with peonies began. It’s been years in the making. I know there are many of you who share this slight obsession. Peonies require hardly any attention and in early summer they put on a show that is like no other. To me they are pretty much the perfect plant. The only thing I wish is that they had a longer blooming period. They seem to bloom all at once and then it’s over. So…I decided to make some peony watercolor printables to stretch out the enjoyment. I planted three bushes a few years ago and they are the loveliest shade of fuchsia so I hope you like the color. Just this spring I added some white plants but it will be a few years before they produce blooms.
Peonies thrive just about anywhere. I don’t have full sun because I live in a wooded area but my peonies are doing just fine. I know they don’t do well in the very southern zones so if any of you are reading, these peony printables are for you!
The photo above is from last summer. So far I have big gigantic buds but very few blooms. I was able to cut just enough to take the pics for the watercolors. Very soon I hope to have peony bouquets all over my house.
I printed the watercolors and added them to the frames in my entry. I left the Motherhood Printable in the middle. This is a great way to perk up a small space and add a little seasonal charm. I hope you enjoy these peonies…I promise the blooms will last the whole summer.
